I'm reading the thread on interference about MSG GA now. Sounds like they're crazy about people joining people in the line! Eeek! I'm just hoping it doesn't rain. Please, please, don't let it rain!!!

I don't know...I don't want to go into any potential songs that may "taint" Claire. So, I guess, I can play around w/ IWF, and then just hope for the chance to make a complete ass of myself by being plucked for [that song]. I was just reading that for the October shows, by 3pm, there were only 60 people in line! I don't think I'm going to be crazy and get there at 6am or anything, but I don't think I want to test my luck and show up at 4, only to find 400 people in line already. I've got a paper due on the 21st, so I guess I'll just go to class and head to MSG after that.

How giddy am I that Claire's got tix to both shows now?!? I am, in fact, very giddy, because that means she's now doubled her chances of hearing our special 10/10 song!!!

What time is your paper's class over at? I hope the weather's better! I definitely think you guys should go at the same time - I know if I was in line earlier and someone went ahead of me (with the sneaky, "Oh hey, what a coincidence!" I'll-just-stop-to-chat-casually-with-someone-I've-"bumped into"-and-smoothly-move-into-the-front-of-the-line move) I'd be pissed and possibly bitch them out (or loudly complain about them and let that person hear it, a la the crazy subway lady).

So now that you've got GA, you don't need to go to the other show! This is for 11/22, right? My God. It's going to be a good show.

Gotta run and do some homework, so I'm off for a bit.

I'd certainly say "Hey everyone, I'm meeting someone at such-and-such a time," and not try to pull one over on them like those damn Pillowman people! I told Stacey that I'd be getting there around 10:30-11 and she could join me in line (though when she writes back, I'll probably say that I've been reading posts about GA line procedure, and it'd probably be in her best interest to get there ASAP).

My class is over at 10 (it's from 9-10), so I should be able to get there by 10:30-11. It'd be lovely if that's about the time she was planning on getting there. As much as I'd be tempted to try my luck at getting there late, like my friend Mike, and hoping for the best, it's my last concert, the only time w/ GA, and I want to get there as early as possible. Though, if the weather is particularly nasty, I may push it closer to 1 or 2. I have a strange feeling that this isn't going to end up being as simple as I'd like it to be though. This chick took over a week to reply to our e-mails. That makes me a smidge nervous. Guess we'll see.

I wish you could be here, Tiff! I wish Claire and I could actually see a show together too. Btw, I'm going to 11/21, and Claire is going to 11/22 (aka, the best show of the tour). I'm kind of sad that it looks like I won't be going to that show, but I'm so glad that at least Claire should be getting in, assuming this all works out! It's good to know at least one of our group is there!!

I'm back!
She has one extra ticket for 11/21 and one extra ticket for 11/22, so Nic is taking 11/21 and I'm taking 11/22. I already have a ticket to 11/21 so I'll be at both.

Nope, $75 each (they would have been about $65 with TM fees).
I'm SO excited. It's a really good thing no one was home when I got that email, because I seriously freaked out. I just hope she gets back to us soon and it actually works out.
I already "know" how to play the guitar, so I suppose it wouldn't be that hard for me to practice a few U2 songs just in case! But I'll just be happy to be there, so I'm not really thinking about being up on stage or anything.

"Angel of Harlem" in MSG would seriously bring the house down. And it's better than "New York"! Hey, do you think you could crack out a Sgt Pepper?

I don't think we're spoiling it by speculating acoustic songs to play, are we? I mean, they haven't done the acoustic set too much, and they've got a fairly limited repetoire.

I do enjoy Adam, but I think, given the choice, I'd go for his side rather than Edge's. First, I think Edge's side would fill in faster than Adam's, and second, I think Adam is more smiley/personable than the Edge (and j'adore Edge, don't get me wrong). There'd be more of a chance of getting a smile or a wink from Adam, and Adam's side has the drum for L&PoE, an added bonus!

I'd go for Edge's side if given the choice. But you're right about his side filling in faster; it might be easier to get closer on Adam's side. We'll see. I have to stop obsessing over this because a.) It's not completely definite that we'll be there, and b.) It's 2 weeks away and I can't be this neurotic for the next 2 weeks!

ETA: I don't necessarily think that she's a flake, though I am a little nervous about it. I'd feel much better if she'd replied to either of us and said "sure, sounds like a done deal, and Nicole, I'll see you on Monday the 21st on 33rd around noon. Yes, they're hard tix, and here's my cell #." I think I'm just being paranoid (and who wouldn't be, having GA for MSG, that don't cost $300, dangling right in front of you).
