(I admit, I did laugh at the '80s "Your Love" sketch... On the other hand, the two store employee sketch needs to be retired ASAP.)

I have a really complicated five point system by which I grade SNL:
1. Did
2. it
3. make
4. me
5. laugh?
If I answer yes to all five questions, I feel like I got a great return on my time investment. Even the fired employees sketch cracked me up, "These Planet of the Apes looking bitches...." I liked that most of the sketches were surreal. I loved the dancing video.
HAIM clearly graduated tops in their class at the Susanna Hoffs School of Sideways Glances.

Somms and I were at the show last year when they did the Charlie Brown skit. It was fabulous!

Sound of Music condensed!!!!!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Cannot believe the show after one of the funniest bits in years went down so dramatically. The lawyer sketch was painful to watch. As usual Weekend Update spot on.

Glad Jebediah Atkinson is becoming a regular. My new favorite character since Stefon!!!!!

Aside from the first ten minutes and Weekend Update, I thought this was a very weak episode.

I have to say the 2 nd half was superior to the first (with exception of the opening). Found the religious joke on Update bad taste. The sketch about the guys drinking was labored and had the unfunny reference to AIDS.One day they will get their act together. The David sketch was a rip. Once again Pharoah under utilized.

OK Roxy, Bill Brasky is perhaps the best written series of sketches SNL has done since the early 90's! Labored? Geriatric Please!
