I really enjoyed this episode. Kerry was amazing, loved her accents, makes me want to check out her show!
It was great to finally see Jay Pharoh in more than one skit as well!

Loved the bitchy Speech Critic on Weekend Update.Probably one of the funniest skits I have seen in a long time.

God, they just really need new writers. Does every episode now have a skit where they cram like 50 celebrity impressions in?
Anyway, I think Gaga's doing a good job. She sounds a bit tired, but she did really well in both performances so far. "Gypsy" is one of my favorite songs off her new album.
Very good episode. Nearly every sketch was at least somewhat funny. Gaga was pretty good.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Gaga is serving some Grandma Yetta realness in this sketch.
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)
Laughed at every sketch. Gaga was game for anything and has a sense of humor about herself. The speech critic got funnier with every passing moment. Gaga looked like Liza S the talent show mother.
Adele's "L.A. LAW" cover was the best thing of the entire night.
I also found the 2060 Lady Gaga sketch to be very sweet, when things like that can easily just turn into self serving tributes to whoever they're about.
Also, I really loved the Blockbuster bit. It almost made me cry lol

I thought she was pretty great for most of it. The her first musical number (not counting the fun "Applause" spoof at the beginning) was so bizarre that I didn't know what to make of it (plus, R. Kelley, ugh), but I liked that "Gypsy" performance.
I've concluded I like a grand total of three of her songs, and as an entity I find her a little trying, but as someone who is kind of predisposed to have not liked her on SNL, I can't really complain about the show. She seemed a little rushed and hammy during the monologue (before she sang), but I was impressed by her commitment in the sketches.
It is widely known that I am not a Lady Gaga fan, primarily because of the ridiculous persona she has created, so that made last night's episode a little tough to stomach. But I did really enjoy the "Applause" spoof at the beginning. It was cute, she looked great, and sounded even better.
Gaga is a terrible actress, but it was one of the better episodes. I loved the cold open ("Canadian" accents aside) especially the 60 minutes bit. And I did think Gaga's opening was surprisingly great.
I've mostly passed on the GaGa circus--someone had to explain the 'tuck' reference to me--but whenever our paths have crossed I have found her likable enough and a very strong performer.
It also struck me that her insane public persona may give her the ability to go to the corner for a cup of coffee un-molested. I didn't recognize her at first in either the Kimye or the Talent Show sketch.
You think, what do you want?
You think, make a decision...
If you saw the time Madonna couldn't get two lines put the time she cameoed with Gaga on SNL, I think you need to recalibrate your definition of "terrible actress."
