Who did you used to be here before you were SmokeyLady?
Why can't we get an answer to that question?
Just saw the ratings for the first episode, so so bad, 300 thousand for the night is terrible. Such a shame, hoped it would do far better.

It's not like it's a network show. Devoted cult followings eventually yield results.
I don't think those ratings can be classed as cult, they are just flat out bad. The Newsroom on the same network had a bad start this season with 1.2 million viewers, The Comeback at 300k is a disaster. I just hope they play the whole season

Of course they will.
I also think the people who watch The Comeback probably don't actually have HBO and watch it online somewhere, like I do. I love the show and think Kudrow needs a freaking Emmy. So brilliant and so off-the-cuff and so natural.

So off the cuff and yet every word is important. I don't know how they do it, really.
Mickey's FOLLIES reference in this week's episode killed me!

"I forgot how good butter is… Do you have this in a spray? Or a pump?"
KCRW was saying no one is watching this on demand either. I didn't even know they had ratings for on demand. Very funny show. I hope more people discover it.

Maybe The Comeback would rather be nine people's favorite thing.

Because I'm a meta genius.
I still have this queuing on my Apple TV but haven't watched any of it yet. Should I watch Season 1 first?

YES. Absolutely.
Done. But only SD, no HD, damn it has been a while since that show first aired...
I can't believe that this Sunday is the finale! This season has far surpassed my expectations (which were already pretty high), especially with those last two episodes. Kudrow is giving the performance of her career here, and it's been thrilling to watch her dig even deeper into Valerie throughout season two.
I am hoping she gets some awards love from this, the argument with her husband outside the restaurant was fantastic. And her break down on set in the desert was also pretty bloody brilliant
Kudrow has never been better. Anywhere! Her performance this season, especially the last two episodes have been pure gold.

Bawled through the last 20 minutes of the finale. Superb. A triumph.
I too felt that the finale was outstanding. I would be very surprised if HBO brought it back, so I viewed the last episode as a series finale. Kudrow was just too perfect. As a huge fan of the original series, I was uber excited to see this limited series return. I was certainly not let down. Loved the whole shebang.

Me too. I always said season one was the perfect object and although I would have liked to see more, we at least had that. And then they go and make ANOTHER perfect object. I wasn't even sure they'd come close.
I mean is nobody watching this show? I just finished Season 2. How is she not getting nominated for every award? She's up there with the actors in VEEP. Doing comedy, but still basing it in some reality. It's quite brilliant.
I agree, RM, and, yes, we watched every episode at my house. At least once.
