Cybele Pascal - I believe I saw her name in the acknowledgements section of Anthony's book. Did she help him put it together??

If you'd actually bothered to read all of the acknowledgment, he says what she did.

In his book he says he wants to thank her for reading early chapters. He also thanks a bunch of other people for that same reason.

Alex, I didn't mean you, I was replying to Serenade, who is known for asking questions that she could easily find the answer for herself.

Sorry OS, I tend to speed-read quite a lot.

That's such an adorable picture of Anthony and the dog. But why does that poor dog have a target mark around his eye? LOL

I speed read as well. You're not doing it properly if you continuously miss out on important details.

I sometimes do it in the boring parts of books.

That's not speed reading, that's skimming. Speed reading is entirely different.

"regardless of the fact that Anthony mentioned it in his book, and of the fact that they'd make excellent parents, I'm baffled as to why you'd think it's okay on a message board to discuss how they're going about the process, and other such private things. "

Just for the record, No I am NOT getting private. Private would be if I wanted to know what their favourite bedroom antics are, which I know is NOT my business at all so I do not want to know. All I asked was, is same-sex adoption legal in New York? I don't think THAT'S private, considering there are students writing papers on it. There, I just wanted to clarify that, so having done that I am more than willing to drop the subject.

Er.

You asked how they are going about the process, did you not?

I guess we have varying perceptions of privatization. I don't think asking for details on their personal goings-on in the process is appropriate, but obviously that's just my opinion.

I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. I just wanted to know the legal standpoint on this adoption issue. I'm sure they'll tell us if they want us to know.

You could have just asked if same sex couples were allowed to adopt children in New York. You didn't. You brought up Anthony and Rodney's situation specifically- something that they probably don't want or need being discussed on public message boards.

And for the record, the majority of the world isn't Angelina Jolie and able to pick up a baby on vacation. I've had aunts and uncles adopt children; it takes *years* to get from the initial application to actually legally getting a child. So you asking about it every few weeks is just completely unrealistic- not to mention rude and obnoxious.

Ok ok, I'm sorry if you found it rude. What I meant to ask was, will they be allowed to adopt children? I'm sure there are plenty of same-sex couples who are trying to adopt, so the law would have to be the same for everyone. But since Angelina is a spokesperson for children's charities and is constantly making trips to Africa, she probably decided to take a local baby as a souvenir. She was the one who said why have your own baby when there are so many orphans in the world, but I guess she changed her mind and decided to have a mini-Brad.

Wow, this board got vicious very quickly.

It seems time for a subject change.

Only for sake of completely changing the topic, does anyone have any idea why Anthony *or whoever picks these things* chose to speak the lyrics in his book on the audio book?

Who knows. Maybe he wanted us to feel the lyrics rather than just lysten to it being sung. Or maybe he was just making it clear for those who may not have heard the songs.

I'm not positive this is the correct reason why he chose to speak the lyrics instead of sing them, but I remember reading somewhere that there was an issue regarding the rights for the songs.
