Just for good measures, a picture from Hollins...
We get him in a week.
Now, don't forget what you're going to ask him.
I could never.
I got an IM from a friend the other day, telling me he was going to be at her school the first week of May. She was so excited, and was like "can I tell him I'm friends with you?!" She's a fairly new fan, and I took her to see the show last year, so I'm excited for her to meet Anthony.
I told him I was friends with you. Only because I was ordered to tell him that you weren't insane.
Ah, yes. My meltdown. THAT was fun.
Hee. Well, it made for great conversation beyond "You were really good in Rent."
"She's not insane, I SWEAR!"
Heh. Should I even bother asking?
Just a silly little incident of internet drama. I got really upset over it, and like... well, okay, I freaked out.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Anthony at the Theatre Macon in GA today, and (at the risk of sounding silly and fangirlish) it was AWESOME.
Earlier in the day, I got to sit in on a workshop he did with some of the young actors from the theatre, which was really interesting. I felt a bit out of place, since I'm not involved with their theatre program (obviously, since I don't live in GA), but it was still fun. Mostly, the workshop consisted of Anthony offering advice about auditions and nerves and that type of thing, and then a few of the students had the opportunity to sing selections for him so that he could critique them. It was thrilling to see how his knowledge and insight really helped them to improve their performances.
Later in the evening, after a break for dinner and such, Anthony returned to the theatre for the scheduled reading. He started by talking about how/why he came to write Without You, and then he read two excerpts--one brief passage about Jonathan, and then the passage about the performance after Jonathan's death. After that, he did a bit of Q&A, and ended by singing Seasons of Love.
Afterward, I was able to get him to sign both my book and the insert from my copy of Look Around, and I also took a picture with him. He mentioned that he will probably be coming to my school in the fall, so that's something nice to look forward to!
Anyway, I'll stop babbling now. Just thought I'd share. And now, I sleep!
Yay, I'm so happy you had fun!
!
That sounds great, secondstar! I'm glad you had a wonderful time.
I think his hair has been looking quite nice lately.
May I join in? I am new.

I'm glad you had fun, secondstar! And welcome, Annual Speller!
My computer isn't working. I'm currently using my dad's computer but he needs to use it a lot too, so I don't know how often I'll be able to come here for the next week or two... nooo! =(
I am addicted to the sims 2, I am taking abreak from it right now.
I feel so bad, for coming and going, But i Must leave.
Welcome
Sims make our computer make weird noises, so I don't like

Hey 25th Annual Speller! You know, there are a lot of movies based on spelling bees now. Akeelah (spelling?) and the Bee, Bee Season(not entirely on spelling bees, but close enough), and that documentary that probably sparked it all. Plus, The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, of course!
On the topic of The Sims 2, I love it. But it makes my computer run super slow so I don't play it very often.

I kinda want to see Akeelah and the Bee. It's coming to the Tribeca film festival, and my mom got tickets for an advanced screening.
Sims 2 is a good game, but I lose interest after about 2 hours.
Shut UP, I drove through Macon today! (I'm on my way back home now... ugh) I bet I could have convinced my parents to stop, if I had been smart enough to realize he was there! I'm so mad now!
