Lately I've been obsessed over looking up pictures of funiculars. If you have no idea what it is, google it! It's such an interesting mode of transportation. I've never been on one, but it looks fun!

There is no way that I'm going to share my weirdest obsessions here. :) However, I do love passenger trains, and I've ridden on a train in all 50 states, which surely reflects some level of obsession!

I've been lucky enough to ride funiculars in Portugal and Colombia, and they were a lot of fun! Closer to home, I believe there are some in Pittsburgh.

I was on the funicular up to the Sacre Couer in Paris once. Fun.
I collect old signage. I like the retro design and font, and hang them in places where they don't make sense. I have a tiny collection compared to the late Carrie Fisher - when I saw "Bright Lights" and saw her impressive and hilarious display, I was green with envy - that compound was my dream home!

I guess I am a semi crazy cat lady. I only have 3 cats, but love following cat related social media accounts such as Grumpy Cat, Lil Bub, Princess Monster Truck, etc... I read all the books, purchase some merchandise. I've also visited cat cafes in NY. And my secret ambition is to open my own. It seems more appealing than my current job.

Mine--when I read a book that I love--and see it again in a bookshop, I pick it up, say to myself 'I LOVE this book' and BUY IT AGAIN !!

I've ridden funiculars in Lisbon and Oporto, Portugal. Love them.
I've always been somewhat obsessed with cults. Documentaries regarding cults, their leaders, their followers and escape stories. Particularly anything Scientology-related. I've been watching the Leah Remini series and I think it is Emmy-worthy.

Yes! It was great. There was another one I watched online that was really good, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. It was on a website exposing truths about Scientology and the film went into detail about L. Ron Hubbard and Dianetics. I'm going to see if I can try and find it again.

HBO's The Young Pope. I'm fascinated by the arrested development & puerile sexuality of the rather seasoned characters on the series. Those grizzed folks know church dogma, each other's virtues/vices, and little else.

Actually just had no salt/sugar crunchy peanut butter with slices of tomato on bread---now THAT is yummy; also love peanut butter and banana and honey--wasn't that a fave. of Elvis?
I have to close my eyes at a movie when a man/child goes to the fridge and drinks OJ straight from the container--beyond Yuk !

Not quite about cults, but if you haven't watched Beware the Slenderman documentary I highly recommend it. It's available on HBO Go.

Am I the only one who watches TV shows or movies just to see or hear the voice of a performer we love? I'm talking more about guest roles or cartoons. Like Sara Ramirez is my favorite actress. I have watched episodes of shows she was in just for that reason alone. No other investment in them. Except for Grey's Anatomy. But, that's different because she was a regular and I did enjoy the show. However, I think she was a big reason I kept watching and miss her in the current season.
But, I also like to watch Sofia the First on Disney Junior because she does voice the queen in it. I can guarantee I would not care about the show if she was not involved in it. I even find myself not as invested in most of the episodes she is not in. But, I don't think it's a terrible show either. I have watched each episode multiple times. But, I don't really seek it out unless I know the episode is new. Like if it's on, I might watch if I liked it.

Let me throw one more cult documentary into the mix: Children of the Stars, about a wacky but harmless group who like to make really bad science fiction films (which they believe to be historical reenactments).

I do the same exact thing! Only when I see a copy at a library book sale, though, because they're usually so cheap. I hear they shred all of the unsold books at those sales, so I do it to save my favorites from needless destruction.
