You saw THE HIDING PLACE with a church group?
And yes, BAD EDUCATION was the best foreign film of 2004.

If you don't love Julie Harris, you're insane.
Has anyone seen the powerful 1954 documentary "Salt Of The Earth"?

Dancer in the Dark.
I couldn't speak for over an hour after seeing that film. I had to get my emotions together before I found the right words, and it really took that long to get them together...

DGrant-I got to read that when it was first posted. I got a little emotional.
Broadway86-Julie wasn't in "Salt of the Earth". It was a very moving documentary on the struggle for a union in a California migrant town.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 4:45pmOne of my favorite moments in any film of any kind is the close of Pepper's final interview: "The way I figure it, if you shoot an arrow into the sky and it goes real high - well, hurray for you."

DGrant --
That quote was from the legendary Dorian Corey, not the equally fabulous Pepper LaBeija.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 7:13pmMunk, OSAMA left you speechless? That move left me very cold. I went in with such high expectations, and nothing.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 7:17pmAmerican Beauty left me speechless, but not in a good way. I was cranky before I went to see it, and afterwards...I couldn't talk to anyone unless they wanted an arguement to ensue. I hated that movie.
