Oh, and in dress-ups in preschool, I was ALWAYS a woman, and did my damdest to be as beautiful as I could....
Did you get compliments for your pretty blue eyes?
Except they aren't really blue, at least not fully. They are a ring of gold surrounded by blue, which can mix to green in the right light...
Very strange...
They looked big and blue in your old avatar.
I know they're still beautiful. :)
Well, in the right light they are blue... Updated On: 1/7/06 at 07:40 AM

I forgot that - whenever we had a chance to be an imaginary character in pre-school, I was always a girl.

I'm starting to get the awful suspicion that most of you aren't gay.
I hope that's sarcasm?
I grew up in Kansas, and we were asked at the start of second grade to have a pen pal. Someone we had met the summer before. Not a relative, but a friend or acquaintance that we would correspond with throughout the school year.
We had travelled back east to NY to my Uncle's wedding, and due to a few strings pulled by my family, I had the chance to meet Margaret Hamilton while she was appearing at the (brand new) Lincoln Center production of "Oklahoma!."
So... I chose for my pen pal... the Wicked Witch of the West. My teacher was so upset, she called my mom at home and complained. My mom asked her to explain the assignment, and then defended my choice. As long as "Maggie" would agree to do it, why should this be a problem or issue? Miss Hamilton agreed to do it.
I still have the letters from her that we wrote back and forth during that year. What an incredibly sweet, thoughtful, classy lady!
...And I can't think of anything "gayer" for a second-grader in Kansas than having the Wicked Witch of the West as your pen pal.
That is seriously cool, b12b!
Go you!
they call him flipper! flipper! flipper! faster than lightning!!
thanks, glebb, for digging up that old memory of BRIAN KELLY (porter ricks) i wanted a dad like that. and i always liked it when LUKE HALPIN (sandy ricks) took off his shirt, although i didn't know why at the time. oh, those were the days ...
Getting aroused at age 7 while watching Ben Hur and seeing Charlton Heston in rags, chained and being whipped.
It set me off on a rather dark and rough path that I am still on today.

B12b, Wow! I'm envious! How cool is that! You were one cool kid and she was indeed a very classy lady.

Thanks, Spider.

Always dressing in my mom's clothes and her heels when I was 7. I would put on her make up as well.
My dad got me a fake shaving kit and I pretended it was make up.
I thought Brian from the Backstreet Boys was cute in 3rd grade.
I tried to shave my legs when I was 7 with my moms razor....that turned out bad. I went over one spot over and over again, I still have a little scar.
There are so many others...I had a terrible time with throwing my limp wrist around.
O YEAH!! and watching television, stopping when there was a guy with his shirt off, and gazing.
ok, that is all I can think of.
I always really really liked Robin for some reason

I think I'm the only person who didn't try on their sister's/mother's clothing...

ooh, no parks, me either. The closest thing was dressing as a biker chick for halloween when I was like 13, but that wasn't gay, it was just funny.
I NEVER touched my sisters'/mother's.
Only my preschool stuff!
I had the limp wrist thing going. I had a lisp and I talked like a girl. People who called my house would think I was my sister when I picked up the phone. I had a huge crush on Cory Haim/Corey Feldman and I couldn't decide which one I wanted to marry more. I was a HUGE "New Kids on the Block" fan. I had the t-shirts, the water bottles, buttons. Big crush on Joey McIntyre. For my 10th birthday, I asked my parents to take me to a Paula Abdul concert, and my whole family went! It was my first concert. For my 11th birthday, I asked my parents to take me to see Bette Midler in concert. And my whole family went again. I also had this long fantasy throughout 5th grade that I was cast in a production of A CHORUS LINE where all the men were playing the women's roles, and the women were playing the men's roles. I wanted to be Diana so badly.
