I don't know if it stems from personal experiences, but I think, in some cases, people feel the anonymity of the board gives them license to be a$$holes. I dont have the patience to read the whole thread so I'm just going to respond to this point here.....
While that's true for some people, it's not for others. That's true for the cowards... it has been my experience though, that all the people I have met from the board are the same ON the board as they are OFF the board.
Me, yeah, I'm definitely the same on and off.... I even type the way I talk. I'm very sarcastic, very tongue in cheek and incredibly blunt. I call a spade a spade. Yeah, I'm a b!tch.... but what you see is what you get baby. I dont hide behind any online persona; I've never felt the need to.
Life is full of unpleasant experiences.... if there are people out there who are REALLY going to get upset by something said on a message board, I think they need a major reality check.
