To get back on topic for a second, Yenta, we've talked about this a lot on numerous threads and the people who always chime in with something negative have made it clear that they feel it's their right and that they'll continue to do so.
And the truth is, they're right, I may not like it, but I don't want to support censorship either. I guess, all you can do is grow thicker skin and ignore the jerks.
Overall, I think most of the people here are worth getting to know, so I can tolerate those who are not.

Posted: 7/5/05 at 4:50pmYeah, but not allowing someone the right to their opinion is censorship, no?

Amen, JohnPopa.
This isn't ideological censorship- purposely bullying and persecuting others isn't a viewpoint, it's an attitude. And it's not an attitude that's conducive to discussion or community, the last time I checked.
And for roughly the millionth time, no one here has the "right" to say anything. This isn't the constitutional marketplace of ideas; it's a private message board. Hence RodneyK and HelloGorgeous2 aren't here anymore. And even having the "right" to say something doesn't make it right to do so.

Posted: 7/5/05 at 5:01pmWait, hold up, how did I end up defending the jerks? Fine, I surrender, they don't have the right to be cruel to unsuspecting strangers.

Posted: 7/5/05 at 5:44pmDollyPop.........I am just venting some feelings that I have. Nothing wrong with that. I have learned to do that over the years rather than hold it in. It is good for everyone.

"I love you.
You love me.
We're a happy family.
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you sat you love me too?"
Many years ago, I saw a TV show about the virtues of gay parenting. Two gay women were featured with their kids. The kids had learned a very groovy and updated version of Barney's song that went thusly:
I love You
You Love Me
Ho-mo-sex-u-al-it-tee!
People think that we're just friends
But we're really les-bee-ans!
nmartin: If that was a still from a porno film from 1976, the guys would all have chest hair. Oh yes they would.
