10-out-of-12's are the very long tech rehearsals that lead up to opening. It refers to the fact that you are called for 12 hours (noon to midnight, in this case), with 2 hours off for dinner. So you're rehearsing/teching 10 hours in a 12 hour workday. They're very tedious.

Shira: Check your settings. This happened to me a while back, where I just wasn't getting any messages at all, and it turned out my settings has somehow gotten changed, and I wasn't accepting PM's, even though I could send them. (Some kind of bug in the system.)
