Works for me.
My mom had a Hannukah party at her house on Sunday with about 15 people - about 1/2 my friends. Lots of Latkes and fun.
But you know, you make Latkes for a few hours, and you don't really feel like eating any!

YWIW - Well, the fact that the gig paid more than twice the normal rate helped to give me incentive, you know? And let me tell you, I am seriously looking forward to my next gig. Back and forth to Culver City? Compared to the caroling gigs all over creation and the Anything Goes commute? No problem!!

P.S. Just saw your latest post, Liotte, and made me laugh! (I'm not sure if going by the temple to get your paycheck counts, but if you have a dreidel lying around, why don't you give it a spin?)
I should make latkes. We were going to make them at work, but ended up making peppermint bark and toffee instead.
Erika, I do not envy your job or schedule at all! I do admire you though!

Y, Erika, you all are busy! We are swamped here. My wife is out of her normal schedule and we had guests two weekends in a row and we co-hosted a party on Saturday! Whew!
Erika - I do think a meet at the Kirk Douglas theater will be in order.
It is so funny that I worked there a bit when I was a kid, before it was converted from a movie theater into a live theater.
And B, sounds like you are quite busy yourself.
I am looking forward to next weekend, when all good Jews get to relax and go to the movies.
I want to go skiing on Christmas day.
I want to buy a Wii on Ebay the day after Christmas.
Dreamgirls is slated for Christmas.
There are a lot of movies I am planning on catching up on next week.
Have a great evening. Off to do a few things and get ready for work tomorrow.
Have a great week.
The kitties say goodnight!

We plan on seeing Dreamgirls and the Christopher Guest movie over the holidays.
I want to see Dreamgirls, The Holiday, I think there are a couple others but don't remember which now.

My wife wants to see The Queen and the James Bond thing - no interest!
I have no idea what those movies are!
I remember seeing previews for things that I want to check out, now I have time during the day, since I will be at WS at night!

Oh, that is it! Last night I asked if Tarzan closes soon, but I recall now that it is WS! I asked the kids if they wanted to see Bee on Saturday, then I realized that it would be almost $350 for the family! Ouch! We will likely use our contact in January on an off night.
The Queen is supposed to be wonderful.
OK, now I am really gone. Night all.
Night YWIW!
Brd, do the lotto, get $25 seats!!! I think I will see Bee on Fri or Sat.

We need 5 seats! That is plausible, because we could shop if we do not get tickets.
I thought the chicago bee lotto was easy to win, at least it was when I was there!

I do not know! The only time the family tried the Wicked lotto - we won two seats and C8 and I won the family lotto!
We might try the Bee!
Good luck!!!

Good night all!
I'm also going to bed, night!
Well... things worked out for the best.
No, I didn't wind up seeing Dreamgirls because... I got hired as SM for a great production. It's called "The Equation" by Charles Waxberg. I got to meet the playright, who is also the director for the play. I thought I was going for a quickie interview, but wound up staying there until after 8 pm. He is fantastic, and it's a new theater group and they are all great. It's gonna be one helluva time... I arrive from DC on the 4th and go straight into rehearsals that evening. I'm very excited.

Good for you, DD! I love excitement over new projects
But, you'll HAVE to see DREAMGIRLS at some point . . .
I've realized we're going to be in San Francisco on Friday, so I may try to track down the roadshow there!
