Ouch! I've heard of stories of people blacking out while running and cracking their heads open, but none based on slipping on something wet. At least they didn't have someone die like in the Marine Corps Marathon...

And let's hope it stays that way for awhile. Of course when you have something as strenuous as a marathon and a wide range of ages and levels of health, it's bound to happen at some point unfortunately.

I did some trick and treating with my kids for the first time in years, and it was actually fun.

This afternoon, I dressed up Starina as one of the VonTrapp children for the school Halloween Parade (because it was "easy.") Then, for trick-or-treating, I had to do her up full-out as The Drowsy Chaperone...and her brother as Aldolpho. It was a riot.

Hey guys. Just got back!

Checked out the Halloween Parade with LG and her Dad, who I adore. It was cool. I'm not usually a big Halloween freak, but I certainly take some enjoyment, especially when I'm the only sober one!

Anywho -- hope y'all had a great time!

(Oh, and today is mine and LG's unofficial one year anniversary, since we can't pinpoint a specific date. We figured it started Halloween night to November 1st morning (and no, not that)).
