I will remove my long signature after tomorrow.
Shira.. what did you not say?
Whoops! I guess I didn't post properly!
I am not voting tomorrow. I forgot to request an absentee ballot. And frankly, I don't really care.
But if Wedding Singer was performing at the polling place you would be there. Sad. Sick and sad. Sorry Liotte. No excuse for not voting.

"And frankly, I don't really care."
I wish I had that luxury. But then again, I don't think anyone actually does.
No . They don't. I gave my secretary a two hour lunch tomorrow with the condition that she votes. The " I don't care" attitude astounds me. There is nothing more important than voting tomorrow. Nothing.

Did I miss a meeting somewhere? I thought Liotte was Jewish. And honestly, I can't imagine how someone of that culture could not vote - unless they either didn't know history, or were just choosing to ignore it.

I cannot imagine not voting! I missed a Dem primary for the Mayor a few years ago, that is my only missed vote. I will cast a Republican vote for a local race and abstain on the governor's race.
It is scary how many people aged 18 - 26/27ish (well and older, but I know that in the last 5 to 10 years schools have been pushing the need to vote) don't believe there is a point in voting unless it is a presidential election!! I was involved with my local town campaign this year, and the lack of knowledge is astounding!!

People don't realize that it's their LOCAL elections that have the most impact on their daily lives!
I completely agree.

We have friends who treat election night like the unholy bastard child of the Oscars and the Superbowl.
It's a little too serious for me. I do well to read the results the next day without flying into a deep depression - or ending up adjusting my rifle sights from the top of a building somewhere!
Like with sports... I can't deal with the anxiety in public. I too rather spend the time alone, though I'm pondering attending a couple of parties downtown.

Two years ago, at one of these parties they ran out of booze. (I wasn't there...)
I have the CMT awards on in the background. Lets see if the twangy thing doesn't get to irritating.
I'd love a real drink right about now...
Waiting for Heroes... Howie's on right now.
