she sure is!
Yes, there are other ways to have fun ... IF YOU'RE LAME.
I've yet to meet a non-drinker who's insistence that they weren't going to hang around anyone who drinks didn't drive anyone they'd ever met to take up vodka as their newest hobby.
i love my wino friends <33
I don't understand what makes alcohol so much more dangerous than smoking, or even driving, which can be done at a surprisingly low age of 16! I think that the drinking age should be lowered. What makes a 21 year old less qualified to drink than a 21 year old? And again, what makes alcohol more dangerous than the activities someone can do at 18 or lower.
Well, really, the drinking age is about 3 years lower than it really is. Would you really be surprised by a 19 year old drinking? No. I think that should be more lenient with 19 and 20 year olds who are drinking.

Ok, Ok- I admit, I am more conservative and prude than the average person and perhaps that's why my views are not shared.
As much as this is getting interesting, I must leave for rehearsal.
Besides, I don't think continuing this conversation (with me) is going to get anywhere.
Thank god, because I really wasn't in the mood.
Have fun at your rehearsal

"Getting drunk isn't good. For several reasons. You can put yourself in danger, others in danger and ruin your body (liver, brain function...) "
LOL!! Somebody took their DARE class a bit too literally.
Cirrhosis of the liver usually takes over a decade of very HEAVY drinking, not the few years of binge drinking that most college students do, or the moderate drinking that many individuals partake in after they come of legal age.
The brain cell death is another hilarious anecdote that the substance abuse prevention programs throw out there. In fact, the brain can and does repair any damage reaped by alcohol. Research has demonstrated the moderate alcohol consumption is associated with better cognitive skills and memory that abstaining from alcohol, and it is believed to help the brain function better into old age. Again, individuals risk brain damage after decades of heavy alcohol abuse. The vast majority of individuals will never have to worry about this.
And, JFTR, getting "drunk" does not always involve getting sloppy, stumbling or vomiting. That may be the case for 14 year olds who are drinking, but not the average adult (or even intelligent teenager) Nor do most, or even many, drinkers drive while under the influence. So the whole "putting self and others at risk" jargon is rather silly.

I don't trust people who don't drink.
I'll be at the bar with papa and a bottle of Lagavulin 16yr.
Just like everything else, drinking is fine if it a done in moderation. I would be curious, do you eat fast food? Drive when it's raining/snowing? There are many things that if not done carefully can and will kill you. With all the many harmful and body destroying drugs out there, I think drinking is the least offensive and harmful--because I am smart enough to know when enough is enough.

I'm one of the few college kids who has never had sex, got drunk, or smoked.
It just isn't my thing.
I hate the taste of alcohol, so no I have never been drunk. I was buzzed in the High School Orchestra pit though, because a boy I liked added Mint Schnaaps to our cocoa....blaheibhie
Bullsh*t! Having sex is everyone's thing!
I don't see the point in getting wasted. Drinking is fine, but know your limits, and don't puke on your friend's uggs.
On the other hand do I qualify for drunk dials after two? I'm still at an age where prank calls at 3am sober are still fun, so long as there is a shizzle load of junk food.
I don't like the people who are militant about not drinking and attempt to superimpose these ideas on you. That just gets ugly.
What are we constituting as drunk--totally ****faced, the level of intocixation that would warrant DWI, or saying a little too much?
Aside from the fact that I'm under 21, I've never been drunk. I've had alcohol before and I hate the taste of it, so I don't think I ever plan on becoming drunk.
ahmelie, sex is soooo not my thing x_X

For the record, I'm well aware that I am quite lame
I'm almost of legal age, and I've never been anywhere near drunk--I've only had one full drink a couple of times in my life.
And no I don't not drink due to taking DARE too seriously. I don't think I'm gonna drop dead after two drinks--I just don't like the taste...and I've tried beer, wine, and some mix drinks are good, but I find even better without alcohol. But I don't mind hanging out with drunk people, though I tend not to go out with them to bars and stuff if the purpose is going to be to have drinks that I'm not gonna have. But other times, my friends just tend to act a little more like me when they get drunk. We'll go karoaking, and for half an hour I'll be the only one singing until my friends get drunk enough to sing. My friend even mooed with me at the subway station when she was drunk, it's so fun to have people do that stuff with me instead of me doing it alone.
I was at a party a couple of weeks ago where I was the only person who did not drink at all. People applauded me as I walked around with my cup of water. I wasn't allowed to play beer pong though. That was sad. But I had as much fun as anyone. Some people began to say I'm just naturally high on life. I really wouldn't go that far, but it's a nice sentiment anyway.
And even some friends I have that just cannot fathom that I don't drink at all, still admit they're quite jealous of all the money I save by not spending any money on alcohol.
And btw...
"Bullsh*t! Having sex is everyone's thing"
Not true. I think at this point researchers think it's about...2 percent of the population maybe is completely asexual.
I can't think of one thing there isn't an exception to

Back from rehearsal- but possibly going to bed soon.
"I'm one of the few college kids who has never had sex, got drunk, or smoked."
True for me too- and proud of it! I wasn't going to say anything about it before but since it's been mentioned, I'm right along with that statement!
And I don't plan to have sex until I'm married.
Well, smell her, litte miss Sister Margaret Mary!
mrs felciano and SweetQintheLights, I'm in college as well and I've never been drunk, had sex, or smoked either. I really don't understand why so many people feel that they have to get wasted to have fun and stuff like that . . .
If so many people feel that way, then did you ever think that it might be true?
awwww i love beer pong
okay
Drinking - not stupid
getting compleatly wasted - kinda dumb
Though it is very fun to watch drunk people! That's the best part of being the sober one.
I'll most likely drink more once I'm out of HS. But right now, it's not my thing.
