^ Thus the reason God created camera phones!
Again -- this all goes back to the insanely over-the-top, exaggerated anti-drug education taught today, which ultimately is counter-productive when most kids test it out in real life and find out it's not true.
"And here's the thing: most successful actors on Broadway that you all wet your pants at the thought of following in their footsteps are raging alcoholics."
Well, mine's also a gay man, so I guess I have to go get a sex change If I'm gonna be successful.
"If so-and-so-actor jumped off a cliff, would you do it do?"
"Yup!"
^You & a guidance counseler.
That's the spirist StarStruckGB -- you're on the right track!
Awesome!
Here that world, I've got spirist!

edit: you may have just earned a spot in my signaure as well lol
I'm definitely not going to pretend that I'm never going to drink. I won't be 21 for four years but the night I turn twenty-one I am going to drink. Probably a lot. And probably in great variety. Is that going to screw me over the next morning? Maybe. but wha tdo I care?
You only live once, guys. it's okay to drink sometimes. I don't do it now, but when it's legal I rpoabbly will do it every once in awhile. And since i'll never have a driver's license because of my vision you don't need to worry about me driving runk--I would already have a designated driver, whether I had a few or not.
In any case, I wouldn't do it becuase it's "cool" or becuas of it being a social thing. i'd do it for the taste, and maybe the buzz. We'll see how I like it. But I'm not going to be a saint about it, most probably.
When I was like 6, I thought I was never going to touch a drink.
HAHAHAH.
At least I'm not gettin' high off of cough syrup, now THAT'S f*ckin idiotic.

I don't understand why there has been debate on raising the drinking age.
Although I DO think it would be a good idea, it wouldn't work. Look, the drinking age now is 21-- who follows it?
If people want to drink when they are any age, they are going to. As long as someone supplies the alcohol- they are there for it. And sadly enough, some stores sell alcohol to those who are underage.
As for others getting drunk, I used to go to parties and watch other people get drunk. I found it quite amusing since I knew what was going on because I was basically the only sober one.
They throw their guts up and barely remember what happened- and I remember all of what happened and had my "fun" watching them be idiots.
I don't go to those parties anymore because watching drunk people now just makes me upset knowing they are ruining their body. I can't worry or care about what I don't see or know...
For me the appeal wore off once I hit 21. I could do it legally, where is the fun in that?
seriously, part of the joy was pulling off the illegal purchase. and who wants to raise the drinking age higher than 21? i've heard nothing about this, maybe because i don't care, but still i would think i'd have heard something. is this something that charlie rangel's gonna pull off after he re-instates the draft?
why would you want to raise the drinking age? x_X
Seriously, the drinking age is high enough as it is. I mean, if you can smoke and vote and screw when you're 18, why can't you drink until 21? If anything, I think they should lower it.
in ct you can screw when you're 17
Well, you can screw here at 16 as long as the other participant is also between 16 and 18 or is within three or four years of your age. But you can't screw whoever you want. Legally, anyway.
ok, ok, underage girls, enough with the screwing talk.
i did a quick search and found nothing to support any movement to raise the drinking age. plenty about lowering it, but nothing about raising it.

In my opinion, it would be a good idea to raise the drinking age IF it was obeyed. But, it's a lost cause because people don't follow it anyway.
If it was a law that was obeyed and followed, then I think raising the drinking age would be a good idea.
Getting drunk isn't good. For several reasons. You can put yourself in danger, others in danger and ruin your body (liver, brain function...)
There ARE other ways to have fun. And, surprisingly enough, many of the other ways don't include throwing up, putting people in danger, and ruining your body! What an idea!
ok, i think sweetq's already drunk.
hun you're the only one suggesting a raise in the drinking age. what are you looking at? 25? 30? how about we raise the legal drinking age to 40? how about we ban it altogether? oh wait we tried that once and it worked out soooo well.
you could make it illeagle.
i hear that did wonders for pot.
edit:
<-- NOT underage
Okay, I think I might regret saying this, because I'm really not in the mood for a debate but... oh, to hell with it.
SweetQ- Okay, getting drunk isn't good. Neither is smoking, or screwing around, or talking about a friend behind their back. It doesn't make those things illegal.
Not saying that the drinking age shouldn't be raised (well, yeah I am, but not with this post) but that's one hell of a weak reason for it to be.
I was under the impression that being tipsy or silly was a form of being drunk. Just because you aren't falling all over the place and puking doesn't mean you aren't drunk.
abba's f*cking 21?????
