I've sure licked some toads...'course I was drunk.
Yeah, I have at least 2 drinks every night.
and whose turn is it?
It's like I tell kids doing their first show in town: if you want to have friends and be liked around here, you'd best start drinking and sleeping with people you don't especially know pretty damn soon.
I'll be damned if any sober punks are going to ruin what makes theater great. Not on my watch.

Moi. Vaguely tipsy and slightly uninhibited, but never legitimately drunk. I turn 21 in under two months, so I figure if I've waited this long, I may as well stick it out. I don't plan on getting completely wasted because I don't see the fun in that, but still.
Never had a drink in my life and don't plan on starting anytime in the near future.
oh, popa, you give me hope for the future. thank goodness someone is passing along these vital life lessons!
Sadly, some day I'll pass from this green Earth, almost certainly due to massive organ failure due to a lifetime of drinking, so I have to be sure and leave my wisdom to the next generation. And I'll leave that wisdom in the form of endless drunk dials to friends at 3 am!
Always remember, kids: People will like you less if you don't drink.
Drinking's also a great tool for weight loss.
I can't count the number of times I've gone to happy hour after work and end up, um, forgetting to eat dinner that night.
to all the young people on this board, i implore you to take to heart the words of johnpopa. he's doing this out of the kindness of his heart and with an eye to your futures. disregard his sage advice at your own peril, because the cool kids will all have listened to him.
Alcohol can be very good for you. I'm not sure why anyone would say "I'll never touch it."

I don't mind people who don't drink, as long as they have good drug connections - it's cheaper.
It is? Then I guess I'm doing the wrong things.
I don't much care for alcohol. I'll have a drink now and then, but I've never been drunk. Besides, I'm boring when I'm buzzed. I just sit there and zone out. I'm actually much more lively when I haven't been drinking.

CapnHook wins for best/most intense post on this thread.
And I agree, I'm not againts alcohal, but regarding minors who drink Just to be Drunk? Way to be assanine.
Me! I'm underage & don't really care for it. I don't want a screwed up life when I'm older by starting to drink now. Not worth it.
Yeah, never have been drunk. alcoholism run in my family, so i try to be careful.
And plus, I'm 17.
I don't really have a problem with other people drinking though.
Well, a couple of my friends got suspended for drinking during school last week. I can't believe they were that stupid. It's kinda depressing.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
I didn't drink in high school, except for at the prom after-party because it was soooooo boring.
In college I drink mainly so all the drunk people don't seem so annoying.
*Raises hand*
I don't plan on drinking in the near future either. I'm not screwing up my life. I have friends who already have- and I have no desire to live that way.
Sips here and there, but not enough to have been remotely drunk. Haven't really found anything taste-wise that I'm a fan of. Also not a fan of vomiting, in fact, I have a major fear of it - so I like to avoid it while I can.
And while my friends who do drink would never think to make fun of me for it, it has certainly affected my social life. I would never go out with them drinking, because who wants to be the only sober one with a crowd of people who are completely wasted?
I must say, it's most upsetting to see so many young people worrying about alcohol damaging their futures. Kids, you have no futures. Sure it might take going to college and realizing that every single person at your school is smarter, more dedicated and more talented than you could ever hope to be but, still, one day you're going to wake up and realize that without some sort of alcohol to affect your personality, performance and behavior that you don't have a chance in Hell of ever being noticed, let alone liked by anyone who doesn't have a biological obligation to pretend you're memorable.
And here's the thing: most successful actors on Broadway that you all wet your pants at the thought of following in their footsteps are raging alcoholics. Why? Because they wanted to be cool and started drinking to become so. And what did it get them?
Futures.

I guess I missed the memo that one drink was going to screw up my life.
No wonder I'm a worthless nobody....it was that rum and diet coke on Friday night. Dammit!
And since when does anyone vomit from having one or two drinks? Unless you're doing oxy and snorting a line of coke with those two drinks, you're going to be fine.
"who wants to be the only sober one with a crowd of people who are completely wasted?"
One word - BLACKMAIL. I go out all the time and am the "sober" one. I have more fun making fun of everyone, and then being able to continue harassing them the next few days. But I'm also cruel like that.
