HARUMPH! Those should have been MY cookies - but I'm glad they weren't wasted and you enjoyed them
We really missed coming into town today, but reality bites that way sometimes.
That's true. Shira, when you get to NYC, we have a date to see a show and make cookies!!
DAME and GH, how are you this evening?
DG; I have only heard raves about you.

DAME, Darling - that's because I'm stark raving mad I had a very nice time with DD - we clicked immediately
, and it's well known that I'm one of Shira's fairy godfathers
Good grief, I didn't realize I put that many in that post!
And I love the Lucy TVGuide cover.

DAME - I'd like to find a pic of her with the whip from Ziegfield Follies!
By the way, I just realized I never answered your question from before. Robert has always taught elementary school, but he's taught kindergarten exclusively for many years now. And this one coming up is his last - hurray!
It's 4 pm, Dame
Does he teach in Pasadena?

No, Ontario. Which explains why we live in the middle of Republican heaven.
What happened to those cookies?

No kidding! BUT, we are pretty much equidistant from all the places we like to go to, from south Orange County to the Valley - and we're about half-way between LA and Palm Springs. So, despite ALL the driving I do, it's really ok in the end. We just don't do anything around where we live
When the heck did it get to be 2:10am???? I'm going to bed, goodnight all!
'night, liotte!
Dgrant; what did you think of camelot?

A pleasant enough experience - pretty polished for being thrown together for a one-time-only presentation. Mr. Irons was pretty well-suited for Arthur, and obviously got very motivated for a couple of the more politically tinged monologues (even garnering applause during a couple of them.) Mr. Barbour was efficient, with his C'est Mois pretty much being the presentational highlight of the evening. Ms. Errico has a lovely voice, but never seemed to fully engage in the proceedings - only really coming to life during her rather subliminally slutty Lusty Month of May. I can't say I'm overly objective when it comes to her, though, as Ms. Andrews is absolutely iconic in the role for me. The nice surprise was Mr. Bean as Merlin - really pulled his small moments off with aplomb. And Paxton Whitehead was pretty much perfection - as you would expect from his years of experience.
As I said, overall pleasant enough - greatly aided by the beautiful night and the sheer pleasure of sharing in a true LA tradition. Although, I must say the sound there is awful. The orchestra never sounded anything but thin and tinny, which is a shame. As Steven said on another thread, it seems rather pointless to pay to hear bad sound while watching a performance on big-screens. However, the venue and the sense of occasion kind of make up for that with me.
I still wish I could have seen "Follow this you bitches" in lights over the shell
'And kith shall kill their kin for me."
