Okay, just know here in NH he does not have support amongst moderates. They are all going for Kobuchar or Pete. Biden has no business being in this race besides name recognition and his incredibly outdated policies. If anyone thinks Biden has what it takes to take on Trump in a debate they're just being willfully ignorant at this point.
But sure Dems, lets elect another candidate who won't inspire turnout! Hooray!

Biden is no longer my favorite, that would be Klobuchar. But, what he does have that the others lack, arguably, is some semblance of a path to 270 in the general election. There are huge swaths of the nation where Sanders, Buttigieg, and Warren will struggle mightily in any general election scenario this year. I'm still hoping that Dems will see Klobuchar as a reasonable compromise. And I hope that Mayor Pete runs for IN governor some day.
ETA: and then there's Bloomberg and his silent running mate Deval Patrick.

We just need to all commit to vote for the eventual nominee. I have issues with everyone of the nominees, but they’re all 1000% better than the current occupant of the White House.

Id vote 10 times out of 10 for Biden over Trump, so do not get me wrong here.
However, if th Democrats want to win they will need the black vote, the millennial vote, and the gen z vote. Biden will sure as hell not get that. Everyone will argue "Where were you all in 2016??", well, you nominated Hillary. Maybe lets do a better job nominating a candidate who will actually inspire a large turnout come general Election Day. Also a candidate who will actually be able to handle a debate.
Also, do we seriously wanna drag the Hunter Biden bs into the general?? Electing Biden will do just that, you all know the GOPs game. I seriously think he is the worst candidate we have out here minus Tulsi. My parents are moderate conservatives voting here in NH, and Amy and Pete are the only ones on their radar, hell they've even considered Bernie.
I mean Biden wasn't even close to the top 3 in Iowa. But sure, what do I know?

Just curious, who's the person that endorsed Bernie?
We need to find a candidate we can all agree on, sadly it doesn't seem we can. I think we are all determined to get Trump out of office but I see no issue in debating which candidate is best for the general and which isn't. I believe all, if not most, candidates have come out and said they will support the eventual nominee. Bernie and Biden did who are the most name recognizable which is important.

Yes, the candidates all say, as far as I know, that they’ll support the eventual nominee. But certain candidates seem to attract supporters that will only vote for their candidate. As critical as I've been of Biden in this thread I've always stated I will vote for any of these nominees over Trump, not even a question in my mind. I am personally committed to getting Trump out of office, and I'm trying to make sure everyone in my life is as well. Whether its on this board, my friends, families, etc. I do my best to get the word out. And in my mind, from who I talk with, mostly people my age, Joe Biden going into the general is a slam dunk win for Donald Trump. So I, and other people my age, are simply strongly advocating against him because WE WANT TO WIN. We see the writing on the wall, Biden is as close to "Hillary" candidate in 2020 as we'll get.
I did read your article and while I obviously do not agree with it, there ARE people my age who are Yang or Bernie supporters who won't settle for anything less because they're tired of our current system and want desperate change. So maybe its time for the Dems to settle, and stretch their legs out a bit. I disagree with them about not voting for Biden/Pete in the general, but people who keep saying "This is 2016 all over again", well, electing Biden to the general would certainly make this as close to 2016 as we can! Biden has some controversial pasts (not really, but the GOP will run with it), he's a poor debater, outdated policies, why is that "we" just compromise? Why can't others compromise for a candidate like Bernie, who actually inspires young people to get active in politics? Holds much larger rallies, with many different voting demographics attending said rallies?
We compromised with Hillary in 2016, how'd that go? I think the Dems need to go in a different direction if they don't want 2016 again. Doing the same thing, settling for the most name recognizable moderate candidate is just so not the way to go. That's my opinion, and something I am happy to continue to discuss. Again, I have made it clear to my friends they need to support whomever, but if more moderate Dems want the far left to settle, I think they're just asking for everyone to just agree with them. Thats not settling, really. Not speaking to you or anyone here specifically but I think you see my point.
Basically, Im worried.

Well lets see how the votes play out. I personally am not one to fully trust Polls, but Bernie is leading in many states. If he continues to lead and picks up some wins I think people are going to have start considering a vote for Bernie. And yes, my friends are in that 50%. So again, BERNIE WOULD INSPIRE TURN OUT IN THE GENERAL. Good person to vote for then, huh?

I just think Bernie is our best shot. I love the dude but I don't even think he's the best candidate for the job. His health scares the crap out of me, I'm aware he's not everyone's cup of tea, but ultimately I'm looking for the least corrupt candidate I can find, who I also believe will inspire large voter turnout and help us defeat trump. Just my two cents.

That, or Sanders vs Amy. Hoping Amy continues to rise. Amy and Bernie are the best 2 candidates Imo to handle a campaign against Trump. They're the least, if not at all, corrupt. Very well spoken individuals, ya know, adults. Have voting history records that they know of and are proud of. They just feel like arugrably the 2 most transparent candidates in my mind. Trump doesn't want to compete with that. I mean hell he tried rigging the election by going after the guy who finished 5th in NH, this is perfect for the Democrats to jump on either of these 2 in my eyes. Buttigieg I don't think can win a general. Remember, as being from NH, NH is VERY white.

I only know most of them hate Pete, but frankly, while I know this may not speak to the Bernie base at large, most of who I talk to are committed to voting out trump. Bloomberg now is really the ultimate last choice. But no specifics, no. Sadly I fear lots may vote 3rd party depending on who the candidate is. If Bernie keeps on winning then it’ll be him for sure. If not, I think Amy has the best chance of bringing us all together. Just my take. She’s disagreed with him a lot but her and Bernie have a totally fine relationship to my knowledge, so I’d think some Bernie supporters are ready to go for her. We shall see, she did tremendous here in NH yesterday. If Pete falls in other states and Biden doesn’t catch up, more votes for Amy.

To me, while I’d vote for him like yourself, Bloomberg is the epitome of the problem my friends and I have with this country right now. He’s essentially buying the election, he’s a former republican, is only running in mine and many others mind to undermine Bernie and prevent a Bernie Presidency, so I think he’d be a hard sell for a lot of far left voters. He is an even worse answer than Biden is to me. Same with Buttigieg, they felt he’s been privileged and “given” a lot of what he’s “earned”. I don’t fully agree with that, but I do think they have a point. Also his lack of experience is glaring when compared to the other candidates. He also just screams epitome of the catholic white boy (I grew up with many)
I think people, on both sides, ultimately are ignorant and won’t go against their own values for the betterment of the country. If they haven’t been directly affected or harmed by Trump, they likely see no need for a change. Most voters in general are always scared of change so I guess that’s why. I can’t really explain it either honestly. I really don’t think Bernie supporters are as against not voting for a non Bernie candidate tho, as many moderates seem unwilling to vote for Bernie. From my view in NH and talking with my friends frankly people seem more unwilling to switch for Bernie, than Bernie supporters are for switching to another candidate. So I perosnally am finding the moderates being more stubborn in this election but that’s just my personal take. I know Bernie is A LOT of change, but I believe in what he says and his vision for the country. And he’s not corrupt and won’t even take money from Bloomberg. Straight up honest dude for the people. Not telling anyone what to do, I’m just feeling if he continues his strong performances (time will tell) that he is indeed our best option moving forward.
Should be interesting, however. Lots of time for things to play out however.
