It is not just a straight girl/gay guy thing

I am straight and I find that I get along better with girls than I do with guys. Girls don't punch me and trip me in the hallway for being involved with theatre. The same goes for gay guys. Both of these groups accept me for who I am.

And I agree jacob, I have more female friends than male ones. I have always been more comfortable around females. Infact.....and brace yourself for this........when I was in middle school/junior high, guys thought I was gay because I hung around girls too much. WTF???? Yeah I hung around girls more than guys, but I learned what they really thought of those guys, so BOOYAH!!!

Well my gay friends are friends with guys too..then again those are the less bubbly kind of gays. Those are the gay guys that don't like shopping as much. But I still love them! I have the gay friend like "Roger" in Stepford Wives, and I have friends that are gay like his partner, you know, not so much, mlesh I dunno how to describe it but I think you get what I mean.
But I love 'em all!

Don't say "not as gay" because they are what they are. I believe you mean not as feminine as the stereotypical gay.

The only time straight girls DON'T rock is when they become jealous fruitflies. (fruitfly-f-ghag). I can't stand it when frutflies get in the way of their gay best friend finding true happiness. They live in their warped little world where they think that the guy will magically turn around someday and say "Oh my God! I'm now straight and you're the one!", and in the process scare perfectly nice guys away...or convince their men that the guy they're dating is a loser.
That said....most straight girls are fabulous...but not all of 'em.

Unless I am horribly mistaken that would be self-hating.
I understood exactly what he meant - I have met some terrible gay men. But I've met some wonderful ones too.

(i hope I am including myself there...I'm not sure though. )

That happened to one of my "ex-friends" once. My friend Danny is REALLY HOT and she's really pretty and she was sooo convinced that Danny was going to wake up one day and say "Oh My God. NOt only am I not gay, but I'm in love with Rachel!"....it never happened, and it most certainly never will.

I have almost no identification with the stereotypical gay things. I despise both shopping and Barbra Streisand. If I never saw Nathan Lane again, it would be too soon. I don't watch WILL AND GRACE, because I don't think it's funny. I don't like awards shows, and I've never seen a single episode of QUEER AS FOLK. I can take or leave Judy Garland, and you couldn't pay me to ever see Liza Minnelli in anything, ever again. I do love a lot of theater, Julie Andrews, AbFab and guys. But I'd sooner play soccer with the lads, than talk about Wicked with the "girls". So, I'm gay, just not fabulous. And, apparently, not so adorable.
