Do they have NAKED CHAT NIGHT on Datalounge, DG? And if so, how do you know about it? adult board -- redux

"...last night, many people were able to have a serious discussion about this issue and made legitimate and valid points- including quite a few teenagers...."

It'd be great if we could get back to that again.

Namo, can we change the idea to where it is a "no idiots" board instead? I have had enough of this stupidity.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

I vote for continuing to explore this asinine idea.

Just when I've read through all seven pages of argument on this topic, the thread falls way off-message...
Anyway, as truly one of the older posters here, I'd welcome a serious discussion board, but I'm not for exclusion based on chronological age only. I've had wonderful discussions on the board with mature teens and adults alike, and I certainly don't want to limit myself to those who see the world as I do. I'm fully aware of the "OMG, I love Idena, Norbert, whomever" threads, but if I quickly see that a thread doesn't interest me, I simply stay away. Self-selection and self-editing is a perfectly valid response.
That said, I do believe that an adults board would quickly find its own level with whatever criteria or restrictions are put on it. In the end, that level will be entirely up to those who post there.

I believe that it isn't very fair. Some of us are mature enough to handle adult material - people are at different maturity levels at different ages. 'm seventeen, and I've never posted a "OMG LYKE NORBERT IZ DA KEWLEST." thread. I believe that I'm mature enough to access an adult board.

I think that if you don't want to deal with the OMGZ posts, just don't click on them. It's very simple. We're very lucky to have such a thriving theater message board. Making it exclusive isn't very nice for maybe 13 or 14 year olds that'd like to have a mature discussion.
