JANUARY 26 in AUSTRALIA. And even later in Poland. Seeing as I return to Aus on that day, it's fate for me to see it!

The ironic thing is, it practically played in my backyard when it was in Toronto (my neighbours and friends even volunteered at the theatre and told me how great it was), but I was in Europe at the time.

But enough about me: uncageg, that was the best article on BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN I've read thus far.

Saw it last night, and proceeded to cry for a half-hour following the credits. It's the best movie I've seen all year.

Haven't seen it yet, but from what I hear and the awards it has won thus far, it appears it may have already surpassed Munich and Memoirs as 'the man to beat'...so to speak.

uncage - thanks for that link! Very funny .

I read Proulx's story years ago, and loved it, and I've always loved Ang Lee's work; but I am not anticipating the movie to be released where I am. The AP review for it was published in the local paper, though. So who knows. If not, then I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD. Sigh.
