#100dance, monkeys! dance!!!
Posted: 7/7/04 at 6:49pm

It has started to seperate the ranks. This is the type of prose that inspires revolution.

The question isn't about what "is allowed to thrive"... The question should be how we can try to resolve the differences.

I wish it were easy. Hopefully this thread will eventually move to the bottom, and things will continue on in whatever form, old or new. There is no need for hostility and name calling. I made that mistake once or twice before, and have since grown.

I truly believe that we should acknowledge papa's incendiary prose, and move on.

it's interesting to note that i think very few of what's been posted in this thread is hostile. i gather that it is offending more than a few, but the responses have been quite exhilerating. it's often said that if one doesn't like the content of a thread, one is not being forced to read it. it's quite clear and has been what the content of this thread is. rather than calling for it to be abolished, or trying to fill it with cursing attacks, look elsewhere for you pleasure. no one is holding you here. i took pains to not slip into viciousness, but satire is a slippery slope. i would hope that it does not descend into a muck about which i railed in its initiation.

papa, I'm glad to see that, despite your absence from the board, you remember me.
Even if you only remember me long enough for a little abuse.
And now it seems you've chosen to ignore my friendly PM.
I really did miss having you around, you know.
*shrugs*
Oh well.
I hope you look back to our days of "Kristin @ Tonys" fondly.

Yours,

Floweryfriend don't give it a second thought. Don't waste your time on such childish behavior. Those of us who are here to have fun can do so and let this stupid thread fall away to the bottom which is where this Papalovesmambo character should be very much at home along with his equally childish buddies Amy Archer, Etoile and Finding Namo.

I must say, i find this all fun. I'm still new here and not in the industry, so I can watch and even participate from a safe emotional distance. I love that all you artists get so...well...excited. Bottom line? You all get me HORNY.

Yeah, Namo is back!!!!!!! I for one, get tired of all the in fighting. Let's talk about Broadway guys. Not all of us are struggling actors, actresses etc. There are a lot of cool people on this board.......

Holy hussies, jehosephat... "I never even saw you post here before Papalovesmambo" per Bstndiva who has been posting here, what, one week? Stay away for a few days and come back to find someone named Bstndiva has attempted to install herself as the grande dame (as opposed to great DAME...) and arbiter of good taste and high class at BWW.com.

Then there is the tirade from Matt_G rebuking papa for being nasty, when gee, I seem to recall him being the first one in the deep end of the pool on a particularly foul Mrs, Roxy thread. Here it is, should you need a reminder:

" re: Trailer Park Trash - Matt_G
 Jun 5, 09:09 PM

Le Trash un Park de Trailer..."

Memories seem to be running short around here, and self-righteousness pretty damn high.

And damn I miss a daily dose of folks like Namo, Al Dente, and many others not posting much or at all anymore. They've left a void that no one's come close to filling.

Listen, my post there was nothing bad. Strange how you didn't bother to post Roxy's question from above. Let me -

"Not bad for trailer park trash - do you know how to say that in french DAME ?"

Now does my post make anymore sense? This board is becoming increasingly less fun to post on every single day because of these types of things.

I will gladly change places with you Dollypop. I wish I wasn't included. I realize I am a bit of a ditzy air head. I don't understand politics and am not sophisticated about theater but I try. Some of us are not blessed with brains or are not given the opportunity or encouragement to develope our minds. Some of us are told that because we're pretty we'll get a nice rich husband and have a nice home and don't have to worry about doing anything else. Then as adults when we find out that that isn't true we try to expose ourselves to smarter people with different values so we can expand our minds we get ridculed. If that is the way that smart open minded people behave by humiliating others then they are really no better than the brainless sorority girls and debs that I have always been around.
