If it were true then wouldn't he be winning the primaries?
I think the point was that Bernie fared better in head-to-head polls versus the various GOP frontrunners. May be true, but polls like that are fairly irrelevant this far out before the election.
This came out today, if I made a mistake show me PJ, I haven't seen one poll that favors Clinton over Sanders in the general.

There's a subset of voters who believe in their hearts that there's no difference between voting Republican and voting for Clinton, so "truth" seems to be a gooey concept here.
Nate Silver says Hillary's got this:

Hillary Clinton’s Got This
Something truly crazy would have to happen for Bernie Sanders to win the Democratic nomination.

Up until now I never wanted to slap Gene Kelly.

Here you go. Here's a Huff Post poll tracker that shows how Hillary's lead over Trump in a general election is increasing again:

And here is a NY Times article from yesterday on the plan that Hillary, Bill and Barack have to defeat Trump. As far as I know, Bernie has no such plan.

I think his plan is "We need a revolution!" That's his plan to pay for free public college.
So, something new that I've noticed from the Sanders' kids - When they're now confronted with "no matter who the nominee is, we all need to be in this together and vote for the Democrat so Trump doesn't win" - their response is "I'M NOT A DEMOCRAT! I'M AN INDEPENDENT AND I'M VOTING FOR BERNIE!"

It's been quite remarkable watching a few of the younger people in my set who are tea-baggily dedicated to Bernie and their casual yet vitriolic bile they're deploying against Hillary. They are TOTALLY buying the Republican narrative of the Clintons being literally the worst people on planet earth and they are frequently using misogynist language in their condemnations.
I know for a fact that if I called out the guy who yesterday referred to her as "Hilldog" in his diatribe about how eloquent his writing-in Bernie will be in the event Hillary gets the nomination, he would have required a trigger warning before I did so and then he would have had to go to a quiet safe space with Play-Doh, bean bag chairs, shag carpeting and adult coloring books to recover from my "personal attack" and/or bullying.
^ I don't see this, bummed it exists. I believe you though.
I've been volunteering for the Sanders campaign since September and haven't met one person like Namo describes. Nice anecdote though.

Yup. A sign that many Democrats are unhappy with the direction of the Democratic party. Which is part of the reason turn out at the primaries has been so low. Not a good sign for a general election.
The danger of those polls that show Hillary way ahead in a general election is that people may fall into a false sense of security.
And we're gonna need every vote.
If this season has taught us anything, it's that we should expect the unexpected. I have no doubt that Trump will continue to grow his base and has a very good chance of beating her.
I don't know how he does it, but the more it becomes obvious that he's a liar, a virulent racist, and an all around demagogue, the more people flock to him.
It's surreal.
I think that Sanders should have rooms set up at all his appearances called "Sanders' Safe Space", so that the young ones can have a gender neutral, pronoun free, padded ground playground with a vegan, gluten free cafeteria so that they feel safe and welcomed.
And no, Erik. All that shows is that these kids don't understand how the political system in this country works and they're too sensitive about their feelings and being told that they don't understand something, to actually learn and know what that can lead to in the current election.

Yeah, erik, I KNOW it's anecdotal in exactly the same way people saying they haven't seen ANYTHING like it are basing the statement on their anecdotal experiences. But I am happy to ride the surf with you and wait out the times when anecdotes are relevant and when they are just anecdotes.
Yesterday it was four young people from my place of employment who are echo-chambering each other about writing in Bernie (even though we live in a place where those are thrown out if the candidate hasn't filed to be a write-in candidate) and one encouraging the other because, and I quote, "Kevin Spacey said the same thing!'.
I fear for the younger generations coming of age and those not yet there. They are raised to state extreme opinions as if that makes their point any more relevant or clear. It does neither. We end up with extreme Red Team vs. Blue Team "players" who treat this like a sport.
It brings out the ugliness and stupidity on both sides.
And YES, this is a generational thing. Call me ageist if you want, but it's blatantly clear to me. Most older Democrats don't act this way. I believe it's not only social media but the media in general and all of these interactive "reality show" competitions on TV that have turned true reality into a deranged sporting event. This is a learned and nurtured behavior. These "fans" of teams are disgusting and represent the worst of American citizens.

Man, you're on fire today!
Sanders is speaking in my town tomorrow. A university town. I will be running for cover.
What I've learned here from you guys is that Hillary is hated severely and going to lower Dem turnout. Am I wrong? PJ, do you see some kind of big love affair going to her?

WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU LEARN THAT HERE?
Honestly, I am sorry for relentlessly mocking you if you have a serious learning disability. And I am NOT making a joke.
Allright, Hillary is hated, yours and Jordan's posts on this page.
Haven't you guys been talking about Sanders crazies who won't vote for Hillary?

SouthFlorida, honestly. I don't know how you are managing to walk away with THAT message from what I have posted. Obviously we all have our biases.
Wait, are you PUNKING us?
