jksadfkldasfj I LOVE THIS!!
edit: really?? REALLY??? Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens??? AT THE FREAKING OSCARS??
This is just awesome!
are they just singing songs that are nominated / have been nominated at this point?
ew zac efron
Loving it.
Oh Beyonce is just asking for an ass kicking with that "At Last" snippet. I want to see a reprise of Hugh's Kick line from the TONYS.
OooooooooooooooooooOoook. This is just. Um.
They shouldn't even have been on stage during that.

Hugh.
*swoons again*
I thought that seemed very thrown together and weird at points. No one else? lol yikes.
Seriously, Hugh should have done some Flashdance
I adore Hugh and I love it when he sings and I'm delighted that so many here liked it...... but I thought it was just awful. Time for bed.

WEEEE FOR THE MUSICAL!
Well, my previous "love it" went out the window with the HSM nonsense. And the Mamma Mia part was just weird.
I'm not sure WHAT I thought of that any more - though I can bet you the majority of America didn't enjoy it.
Beyonce's Over the Rainbow was amazing.
While I could have mainly done without Beyonce (I'm still reeling from the year she sang all the Best Original Song nominees), but that segment kind of kicked butt. I loved the way they put it all together and I think it's the only time seeing High School Musical on an Oscar stage doesn't make me sick to my stomach. But really - I kind of loved that.
THE MUSICAL IS BACK, BABY!
Sidenote about the commercial following it: Sandra Bullock is in yet ANOTHER romantic comedy like this? God it's like Renee Zelwegger - what? A fish out of water comedy where she's goofy but endearing? NEVER!! Grrr.
Zac Effron is dull as dishwater.
He might look good and be all right in films - but he ZERO stage presence
That was awesome! The whole show this year is like one long love letter to Broadway.
Girly agree.
JG2 - totally agree.
Parts were smooth but parts were as if they were doing it for the first time. And it was a bit choppy. Too much on some songs and not enough on others...
But, it was fun. On balance.
That was horrible, Baz Lurman. Belongs at the Tonys, not the Oscars.
