"by golly taking away the right to a secret ballot really isn't very doggone democratic"
If you're talking about EFCA, it doesn't take away that right, it establishes an alternative. If you're talking about something else, my bad.
alternative. yeah. it gives union goons the right to intimidate workers into joining a union. that's democratic. wait until the stories of intimidation and brutality come forward as the union goons get started. i know the unions. i know the people they'll be sending. it makes as much sense as having the bankers clean up the banking mess. but hey, the unions give to democrts so we get a law that will allow organizers to indimidate workers and the democrats will get more money in their coffers. it's all about who is willing to pay.

KingKong, I said that last night when a bunch of Facebook people started talking about it! Good thing I taped it because I had to go back and listen for it the 2nd time. Barely audible and the "Tonight Show" could have edited it out before airing, too, for pete's sake, but didn't.
BARELY AUDIBLE, MY ASS.
You can hear him say "special olympics" perfectly clear.

Do you just have your responses in a hat that you draw from? If you'd have read this thread you would have seen that there are quite a number of people who have responded negatively to what the President said.
But that of course wouldn't match up with you stock replies, and you might have to actually think before you post.

Oh please, the ONLY reason I could hear it was because it was brought up on this board. If no one had said anything, it would have gone right by. He said it while the audience was applauding something else.
BFD.
I heard it when I watched it. And I was pretty surprised.

This is the sort of remark you'd expect from Biden, not Obama...
You mean Jill Biden, right?
He totally screwed up, and he absolutely needs to own that. But in the final analysis, I'd still prefer this type of un-pc slip to the blatant war crimes of the past administration.
He said it, he's even acknowledged it and apologized for it. Who gives a crap if it was barely audible or not? It came out of his mouth on national television, makes no difference if the audience was applauding, booing, or exiting the studio. There's no one to blame for this but himself.
^ I completely agree. And I am glad he did apologize.
