hey no need for violence! it's just my opinion! La Boheme is a lovely story, I just find the story much easier to relate to and be absorbed in the music when it was modernized with RENT. Seeing La Boheme, I didn't *feel* the emotion I get at the Neder *shrug* so shoot me!
:o That was amazing!!! How did you do the voices..? (I'm not a Sims expert, clearly)
I love the Mimi tappetitap thing at the end :)!

I loved how all of Mark's relatives have the same eyeglasses as him.
Awesome! But it stopped just when it was getting to the good part! "We're not gonna paaaaaaaaay..."
Loved it! Better than the film, and I liked the film! lol
Very nice! I loved "seeing" Mark's mom and the kids. It would be great if you kept going!
Now as for this:
"as for the rent vs. la boheme argument, i think the two shows are so completely different that they're incomparable. Rent is very very very loosely based off of la boheme. "
Have you ever taken the time to look at the libretto to La Boheme and compare it to Rent? It is EXTREMELY close in places....even some spots being a direct translation. The reason for "Light My Candle" and all the references to cold hands and "they call me Mimi"....also the beginning of "Take Me Or Leave Me" is almost exactly the beginning of "Quando M'en Vo".
Yes, there are a few differences...Shunard and Colline are not a couple in the book..and neither one is gay (at least that we know of! LOL) And yes, Marcello and Maureen get back together at the end. And yes, Mimi dies (which is how Rent should end, in my humble opinion), BUT...you can follow the La Boheme storyline through Rent..and that to me makes it more than "loosely based on" the original story.
