My issue is that the pairs where the celebrity is a male and the pro is female are at a distinct disadvantage. So much of figure skating has to do with the male member of the duo "tossing about" the female. Much of the gymnastics are tough to do in reverse. Kerrigan can't toss Coulier over her head, and I'm sure she's not going to be tossed by him. So they're naturally limited in their capabilities as a duo.
Is it just me?

The pairs with a male celeb are at a pretty sizable disadvantage, as far as I'm concerned (and you might as well throw in Debbie/Kurt, because I don't see him tossing her around, as a singles skater). Jenni/Zimmerman and Kristy/Lloyd definitely have an edge. I felt like a lot of the Kristy/Lloyd routine last night consisted of him carting her across the ice. Not to say that she's a slouch, but I think he was doing more than his fair share of work...I dunno.

I don't know if that's necessarily the case. I remember in the '92 Olympics exhibition, Paul Wylie (shorter than Nancy) and Nancy executed a throw jump. So I would think it could happen if Dave got the footwork down (I mean, Todd Bridges did it kinda)? Granted, if Nancy were as small as Jenny Meno that would be much easier but as we now know, small isn't everything.

I missed last night!!!!!!
However, after reading that it was Jenni and Todd who were eliminated I am not surprised! I am glad that Llyod and Kristi survived.
As for Nancy, yeah during the 1992 Olympics she and Paul Wylie skated an exhibition together. That was something that they always used to do to relieve stress and they both medaled at the games! Also, since this is a broadway website I will also say that they skated to "Last Night of the World" from Miss Saigon!
Anyways, I could have sworn that Dave assisted Nancy in a small throw jump during the first night of skating. Sure, it probably just looked like he was throwing her, and she was probably doing most of it on her own, but it LOOKED real. So maybe they are not as limited, because I don't think that Kristi or Jillian will be doing anything like that.
