Posted: 2/6/10 at 12:14amI think I am officially snowed in! It started about 8:30 A.M. herein the eastern panhandle of WV. We have twenty inches, but its such a heavy snow that I know it's more. I headed out with a mission to stay ahead, but I gave up at 6:30 P.M.! Mother Nature kicked my ass! My car is covered, my back is broken, and I can't even visualize where the driveway was! I've resorted to martinis for the night! If the electricity goes out; I'm just gonna eat myself!

Posted: 2/6/10 at 12:26amI live in CT and nothing here as of yet. I think we may miss this one and most the snow,if any, will be down near the shore. There is a storm they are tracking that we may get next week. I'm officially ready for Spring!

harris, you're snowed in in Orlando Florida?
That's gotta be a first!
Or did you move up north?
Here in Bucks County, PA it's been coming down pretty steadily since 10pm. I'd say we have 3-4 inches, although I'm not a very good judge.

Posted: 2/6/10 at 1:01amApparently everyone around my area will get snowed in with a foot or more of snow. We're expecting 1 - 3 inches here lol Yet everyone in the grocery store tonight was shopping like it's the apocalypse

Well, I have no idea what time it started here in Southern Central NJ, but everything is completely covered.

Just to show how heavy the snowfall is:
Trees bending from the weight of the snow. (The lamp suggests the normal, vertical position of the trees.)

Posted: 2/6/10 at 7:41amI'm not snowed in, but I am pissed off. My daughter was supposed to have a volleyball tournament today, but the site pre-emptively cancelled it at noon yesterday. Of course, now we have received no snow.

Posted: 2/6/10 at 7:50amThat's how it is here, madbrian. There is nothing here up in northwest New Jersey. People cancel things left and right, and then go to the supermarket in a panic thinking we're going to be snowed in for the rest of our lives. It's hilarious when nothing or next to nothing happens.

those pictures are beautiful. i love looking at snow. it's so peaceful and calming... like how some people can relax listening to the sounds of a rain forest or a stream, i could watch the snow out the window all day.
no snow in hartford yet tho.
