I don't know if she was on a previous episode, but the Vegas woman is Sarah Shahi.

Edit: And, I heard, "get".

I heard get also. He has placed the blame on Chris for all his misfortune lately, and I think it was a way of telling god he gets it - and a change needed/needs to happen. Of course - it could also be about the drugs - like "I get why Chris was so into this".
What about Chris' mother - I thought the woman was dead! lol
I thought it was "did" because who else can he tell it to? LOL.
That's a good point, Jane.
I took it to mean that he was coming to terms with his grief over Chris's death and admitting that he really did love him.
Call me wacky (it won't be the first time), but while Tony was holding Chris's nose, I thought it was a mercy thing at first. I'm sure Tony loved him.
you guys all know that the last episode of the Sopranos is on the same day as the Tonys, right?

Jane, it wasn't a mercy thing. He killed Chris for himself, because he saw him as a liability. He didn't do it for Chris at all. You could totally tell by the detached, cold look that came over Tony's face.
The whole baby seat/branches thing was his way of trying to justify it. After all of the murders (even Ralphie's head in a bowling bag), this was the first time I really, really hated Tony and saw him as a sociopath. Logically, of course we all knew he was from the get-go, but we were still able to sympathize, be entertained by and even love Tony. But last night, I f-cking hated him and was able to detach emotionally. Wow.
James Gandolfini was amazing.

Another clue of his feelings of Chris and a liability was at the roulette table when he fell down laughing. Chris was gone - his luck is now changing.
Hey whatever happened to Artie? Can someone refresh this old brain of mine please? Did I miss something?

Good question! I'm not sure. Last I remember he had definitely reunited with Charmaine and was running Vesuvio's, right? The authorities did visit him because of the stolen credit cards...there was that run-in with Benny (Max Casella), who was scheming with the hostess to steal the numbers from Artie's customers. I don't remember anything else.
Blue-I knew after a little while that it wasn't a mercy killing (ah, Rocky Horror).
Anyway, I totally agree with you about finally seeing what a piece of ****e Tony is. Up until now I had a tinesy bit of compassion for him, but not anymore.
I was shocked for like, the first half of the show. Christopher was my favorite character, and it's hard to believe Tony killed him.
And, what's up with AJ?

AJ will probably try to kill himself. If I had my way Meadow would die, though.

Minor topic threadjack:
Though I may not seem it, I'm a bit of a newbie to THE SOPRANOS. By newbie, I mean that I've only seen like three episodes throughout the years. How long do you think it would take me to catch up?

I'm not sure, but it's well worth renting the DVDs and doing a marathon to catch up. The first three seasons in particular were sensational.

How many eps per season? I know Curb has like 10 and I think Big Love has something between 15 or 16 so I'm guessing a week or two weeks of marathon Sopranos could work.
And then it will be time to catch up on all 40+ years of DR. WHO.

I just checked for you...seasons 1-5 have 13 episodes each.

schweet. should not be too bad. took me about two weeks to watch all five seasons of curb.

It will be really worth your time. Aside from the great work by "regulars" James Gandolfini, Edie Falco and Michael Imperioli, there are several incredible supporting performances. Joe Pantoliano, David Proval, Anabella Sciorra and Steve Buscemi in particular were standouts.

A.J. - sh*t!
Seeing Sil reading a book "A Hundred Ways to Clean Anything" made me laugh. Tony talking about the "ying" and the yang to Dr. Melfi who has to remain straight faced. I'm really going to miss this show
Last night's episode was one of the best of the series, in my opinion. Gandofini has never been better than in this season. And who knew Robert Iler had that in him? We are seeing things come back to Tony and he is realizing what the consequences of his actions have been on his family. That scene with AJ in the pool was so well done. Is it too late for Tony to change things? Of course. But what an amazing show. This is one show I really hate to see end.
Two scenes from last night really got to me. The pool scene, with superb acting by Iler and Gandolfini, and the scene where they had to bring AJ to the hospital and leave them in the psych ward. This rang all too true with me, having lived through the exact thing several times.
I'm telling 'ya, it wrenches the heart right out of your chest.
