What a cliffhanger (not). One word sums up this season - BORING
In the past, I could not wait for the new season to begin. Now I can . Such a long wait & this was the best they can do. To add insult to injury, the really good HBO series, deadwood, they are not renewing
To HBO WHY WHY WHY
I didn't think it was a body double only because they showed the body of someone who seemed to be Juliana's age. She's gorgeous but is no longer an ingenue. I thought the body fit the face.
Can someone please tell me what the hell is a Spec House???

Blanca--AJ's girlfriend--is gorgeous. I did not need to see ANYONE riding Robert Iler, though. Just...bleah! Why would anyone want to bang that pasty-faced little punk ass? Wonder if he was stupid enough to not use protection. Sigh. I hate both of Tony's kids, and the actors who portray them. Especially in the company of performers like Gandolfini, Falco and Imperioli.
Finally...Uncle Jun! I'm still a little confused about the visit from Bobby. Was it like that scene from Goodfellas, when Paulie (Paul SOrvino) hands Henry (Ray Liotta) the envelope of cash, hugs him, then tells him he "can't do no more." Turning his back? Bobby genuinely loves Jun. That was sad. The whole situation is sad.
Julianna Margulies is still so beautiful! That hair! That complexion! That angel face! I still mourn the Doug/Carol/Mark heydays of E.R. She's doing a good job. I have a feeling Kelly (Chris-tuh-Fah's wife) is going to miscarry, and he'll dump her. She was all but an empty substitute for poor Ade. She called him about pain in her legs...can that be a sign? Maybe she's got some kind of clot? It was telling when he told Julianna that he didn't want a family (notice how he didn't admit she was preggers).
"I also loved how Tony suddenly got mushy and conciliatory with Leotardo right after they threatened him with the death of someone near and dear. Can't wait to see who it is." - Jane2
I loved it too, Jane! It was totally a power play. Hoping to get through to him when he's weak. A NY/NJ war will cost EVERYONE. Carmine f--king Lupertazzi! For Christ's sake, what a bumbling jackass. Phil and Tony were cool with calling a truce, and he has to push Reotardo's buttons by bringing up Billy. We don't know whether Phil's buying it, though. I guess that's what next season is for.
I missed Ro this episode!
Is Christopher on his way out?
Wow, all I can say is this episode was heavy! Also, it was flawless as far as acting, directing, writing, everything! I can't see them outdoing tonight.
Anyone know how many more are left? I'm so curious as to how they wrap it up.

thanks, Blue. Yeah, he was. So do we think AJ will do himself in?
I laughed at the vocabulary mistakes they made in the script tonight. For example, Imperioli said "He keeps flauting it in my face!"
I wish I could think of some of the others.
The build up all season has been so incredibly painstaking, but I had a considerable amount of faith that David Chase has a very good reason for laying it out so throughly....and tonight validated that--everything was absolutely spot on.
Poor Paulie. Or should I say LUCKY? He has dodged a few bullets so far this season...how long will that last?
^^ Yup.
Part of me can't see how Paulie can survive this series; Oy... he is just so pathetic and whiny, ya wanna kick him half the time and pity him the other half -- but somehow I doubt it, indeed, it Paulie strikes me as a guy who could worm his way out of a bear trap -- without a scratch.

Well, this was the best episode of the season....and that ain't sayin' much.
I think it did indeed foreshadow the demise of Chris, though.
Yep.
I can't wait for Paulie's ass to be shot..although I've been waiting for that for about the past 2 season now...please someone put that pathetic bastard out of our misery. Such a mamaluke.(sp?)
I'm just amazed at the quality of this program. Throughout the entire run. This last short season's episodes especially. Simply astounding.

I was shocked with last night. I knew the outcome would eventually happen - but not the way that it actually ocurred. (trying not to put in a spoiler) I actually cried as soon as Carmella answered the phone.
Can't wait for Paulie to get his - and WHO is the woman in Vegas? I totally don't remember her. There has been so many minor female characters though, that it makes it hard to follow them all.
I was wondering about that woman in Vegas, too.
I predict AJ will be the next to go.

I thought the woman in Vegas was gorgeous. She looks SO familiar. cheeze--I don't think they've shown her before. I think she was supposed to be this girl Chris was seeing on the side that Tony knew about.
Tony marries a blonde but seems to have a thing for brunettes...Irina, Valeria, Gloria, the girl last night, etc.
I love absolutely every scene Edie Falco is in. I could watch her for hours.
I thought Gandolfini's performance in the episode last night was one of his best ever. Sometimes it seems he is on auto-actor, but there were so many layers in this episode.

Question: at the very end of the episode, what is Tony saying? Is he saying "I did it!" or "I get it!" I re-watched the scene several times, and can't make up my mind.
I don't know if she was on a previous episode, but the Vegas woman is Sarah Shahi.

Edit: And, I heard, "get".

I heard get also. He has placed the blame on Chris for all his misfortune lately, and I think it was a way of telling god he gets it - and a change needed/needs to happen. Of course - it could also be about the drugs - like "I get why Chris was so into this".
What about Chris' mother - I thought the woman was dead! lol
I thought it was "did" because who else can he tell it to? LOL.
That's a good point, Jane.
I took it to mean that he was coming to terms with his grief over Chris's death and admitting that he really did love him.
