Given that Brooke Shields recently gave birth, I doubt she wants to go anywhere for the moment.

Posted: 6/12/06 at 3:20pmWhile watching the Tonys a group of us were discussing just this. And we realized that you never see Stephen Sondheim at these things. You would think that he would have been asked to present...maybe he was, but I don't even know if he was present in the audience, let alone presenting. And then when the Sweeney director made his speech he spoke of Sondheim as if he were dead. It's just interesting to think about...he's such a living legend.

Oh yeah, Liza's Tony memory shouldn't have featured a clip of Halston who was the man who led her into the world of Studio 54. How about Kander and Ebb? They should have at least been mentioned.

Stritch, Patricia Morrison, Angela Landsbury, Bea Arthur, Ann Reinking (Chicago's Roxie), Ben Gazzara, Carol Channing, Michael Crawford espicially because of Phantom's record breaking year, Betty Buckley, John Lithgow, Donna McKenzie, Mandy Patikin, Ben Vereen.
I know I mispelled names, but bear with me. Also I loved the Joanna Gleason ad-lib about him being half crazy. That made my day.
