I think Stephen Lynch diserved the nomination. He's a wonderful performer, and I think he did a fabulous job in the Wedding Singer.

Do we know which shows will be performing?
ETA: nevermind, we don't.

I'm assuming all nominated musicals and musical revivals will be performing.

I'm glad LaChanze and Patti Lupone got nominations, they definately deserve them. No surprise to see both Felicia Fields and Elisabeth Withers-Mendes nominated in the featured catergory. I was surprised to see Brandon Victor Dixon in the featured actor catergory, I didn't expect that one. Glad to see Tyne Daly getting a nod also.

Instead of doing the kickline, they should all put up there middle finger.
Immature? Yes.
But, oh, so, right.

The leading actress in a play category is just the most bizarre looking category. Who else (besides Julia) was up for leading actress? Frances Sternhagen? Anyone else?

I'm happy for those who were recognized.
I think it says something about the whole season, though, when the most nominations goes to a sweet little piece of fluff like THE DROWSEY CHAPERONE. As enjoyable as many find it, it's interesting that it's being held up as the best this year had to offer.

Congratulations to some really great shows - especially INISHMORE.
What a fantastic surprise for Domhall Gleeson. With all the prior award groups, I never thought he would be nominated. We saw several of the play nominees and I thought his was the best performance. Even if he does not get it, I think it is just fantastic that his performance and talent have been recognized.

"I like TCP's score much more than generic WiW."
That's funny, I think the reverse. Color Purple sounds completely generic and forgettable to me (and the overture sounds like it was orchestrated in 1974), whereas I was immediately drawn to Woman in White's score.

CONGRATS to all the TONY Nominees!
Im very pleased with the nominations this year. I think we all knew that Drowsy would do well. I was a lil worried about The Color Purple but it made a strong showing. Especially for Brandon Victor Dixon!! Im also SO happy for LaChanze (hoping for her to win), Felicia Fields and Elisabeth Withers-Mendes!! They all deserve it.
Everyone seems to be on a Drowsy and Jersey Boys kick for best musical (I am a huge Drowsy fan)! Im just gonna throw this out there "DONT UNDERESTIMATE the power that is OPRAH folks!"
