My nap took a little extra long.. who, other than Scottsboro Boys, has performed?
I almost had a ****fest just now but she is so sweet I can't.

The 4 to 7 second delay on everyone speaking is distracting. Is Angela Lansbury likely to swear when reading a teleprompter? They are getting carried away on keeping everyone safe.

I've been so busy recently that I haven't had a chance to hear anything about Catch Me If You Can or Scottsboro Boys. So I was watching to see some of the performances to gauge whether I wanted to pay a trip. (I guess I missed my chance with Scottsboro Boys, though).
Suffice it to say, Catch Me If You Can was a weary, uninspired performance. The song was forgettable and I found myself not paying attention to the lyrics at all.
But Scottsboro Boys was great! Loved it.
I love Nikki and Laura. But WOTV is what made me love Laura. I'm so torn!! At least Nikki will most likely become a name on Broadway.
Oh, Colbert. Now that is a hosting prospect I would support.
As much as I wanted Benanti to win, I can still be happy with Nikki James winning
Andrew Rannells sold the hell out of that song. Loved it!*
*-Even if I agree with the fact it should have been a blown up ensemble piece from the show.
YES, Andrew Rannells. That is how it's DONE!!!!!

The BOM performance had such great energy! I laughed a lot, too. Even though I'd heard the song plenty of times before I'd never seen the staging with the General.

Rannells did a great job, but I think not doing an ensemble number made the performance not stand up well to the two prior. Still enjoyed it.
Andrew Rannells THAT'S HOW IT IS DONE! He sounded phenomenal. AND SOOO happy for Nikki's WIN! Her speech was so honest and sweet!
Oh come on. Stop crying Nikki M. James. Pull yourself together. You didn't win the lottery or Sondheim's townhouse (or both). You won a medal on a piece of wood.
(Sorry I'm late to the party. And the whole show, starting from the opening, began to leave a bitter taste in my mouth.)

They do it every year. Every award show does. It's not something you can just turn on & off. It's to cover the ass of the network.

Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris's duet is making me laugh. :) This is fun!
Is it just me that's getting that *none* of the best musical nominees this year *sound* original? They are all pastiches...

Somebody get Nikki a kleenex and somebody else get the frigging CANE. That was almost as obnoxious as the Kate Winslet sobfests.
And could anything have been less inspired than the BOOK OF MORMON performance? That number showed nothing but a mediocre, "chuckle"-inducing 11-o-clock wanna-be. Yawn.
Something about NPH & Hugh Jackman arguing who's the top makes me giggle.
