I was wondering if anyone thought maybe roundabout or lincoln center might produce a limited engagement of Titanic the musical the coincide with the 100 year anniversary of the sinking. It would work out nicely since it's been 15 years since the show was first on Broadway... I think it's Yeston's greatest scores...

Sorry, that was one of the worst shows I've ever seen in my life. PLEASE don't bring it back!

^ I agree! One of the worst shows I have seen also!
I wanted to drown right along with everyone else on the ship! It was just pure torture if you ask me!

I'd see it. I really enjoyed it.

The rapping dog scene from the infamous "Titanic: The Animated Musical" movie that darquegk brought up. Remember kids, this is the TRUE story of the Titanic! Everything else: lies.

I think the rapping dog definitely deserves a place when/if they ever revive Titanic.

Titanic has a terrible book. The score has amazing moments, but not worth giving it a full scale revival. Another concert performance would be OK, but I really don't know how the last concert did in terms of ticket sales.

I spoke to Michael Cerveris last summer, and I mentioned how much I love TITANIC. We got into talking about the show and the process, and he mentioned that they are trying to put together a Original Broadway Cast Reunion Concert in 2012, because it's the 15th anniversary of the show, and the 100th anniversary of the sinking.

Better then nothing!

I was saying on another thread, I wish there was a way to "strip down" this show and make it more about the music. I guess in 15 more years it might work well for Encores, but I think it's a gorgeous score, and I wish they'd go back and hammer out a better book. I mean the show should be beautiful and emotional, but it's not.
