2019-2020 Touring Season

Was there any mention if the Dolby was going to alter their seating for these shows? I can't see The Band's Visit reaching that intimacy in that hanger.

They have only said they are not selling the uppermost balcony for Pantages shows.

I have side orchestra tickets at the Pantages that I love due to the price point and how great the seats are.  We were moved to rear Mezz 1 for Dolby shows.

Pantsges thoughts

Shows all look great except one.

I’ll be listing Summer for sale the moment single ticket go on sale.

Slightly annoyed they couldn’t just give Hamilton as part of subscription. You know everyone is going to want buy it.

On a flip side Hamilton. I hope your run is short so we get out of the Dolby ASAP. I know it’s not going to happen that way but hoping for a one year run not five years

I found out on Facebook the seating capacity will be altered not to include mezzanine 3.

Was really hoping and expecting The Band’s Visit to go to the Ahmanson. I anticipate it being eaten alive in the Dolby but hopefully it still hits.

I really don't wanna see Jimmy Buffetts musical. That music is horrible in my opinion. Also, for the dolby seats: i got pushed back 3 rows.. (at the dolby thats a lot) and instead of being 2nd seat from the aisle im now 5th... kind of annoying when i wanna get out faster. Also wish Hamilton was part of the season... they made us pay when Book of Mormon came for the 2nd time. Also daaaaammmm, its so expensive. 8 shows for $1,256

I’m surprised The Band’s Visit and My Fair Lady aren’t going to the Ahmanson as well! What do they have left for their season, besides Once On This Island and Torch Song?

Good season, just not a fan of the Dolby for musicals. I saw their Cirque show years back and it’s a great space, just so so big!

Is Torch Song even happening? Someone mentioned they met a cast member who said Minneapolis was defifnetley a stop and it wasn't announced there. Im still hopeful as well but not going to get my hopes up on it. Could they potentially get the Cursed Child after San Francisco? Just speculating but the Ahmanson may also get Bandstand and The Drowsy Chaperone tours.

Bandstand and Drowsy are touring....? I doubt the Ahmanson would host a non-Union tour. And I assumed Torch Song would be a small tour, like Falsettos or Caroline Or Change.

Cursed Child will be in San Francisco for probably a minimum of three years, and I’m gonna assume they’d want the Pantages, Dolby, or even the Orpheum. Something grand that they can add a magical touch to.

I know it doesn't necessarily mean anythings set in stone but just wanted to say that Ahmanson's website has Torch Song listed. Bandstand did technically announce a tour but nothing else since iirc. Though it's interesting that the Pantages has nothing lined up for spring 2020 since all of those shows will be at Dolby...wonder if they'd be possibly gearing up for another production of Cursed Child, or even a possible stop for Great Comet.

Just kidding I forgot about Hamilton in March for the Pantages. And I suppose DEH is coming back to the Ahmanson at some point as well.

Dear Evan Hansen was announced to return during the 20/21 season. Drowsy and Bandstand are indeed touring, Drowsy being produced by Nwtowrks. Was in this thread recently. I do hope Torch Song tours though!!!

I thoroughly loved it. Christian Borle was the lead, and as you would think, he was fantastic. It's really FUN. It's not the Top 5 musicals u will ever see, but it is just full of color and fun. Hoping the national tour doesn't ruin that part of it. HUGE cast.

I think it will kill on national tour if it's roughly the same as the Broadway run.

Anyone know what will be coming to Chicago? I hope we get Mean Girls, Frozen, and Spongebob. It’s been about four years since The Lion King has been here so maybe we’ll get that again. I’m sure we’ll get the Donna summer tour, but I wouldn’t exactly be too excited about that one.

2019-2020 Touring Season

Hello Dolly is appearing March 2020. So later in season. The article in the star touts Betty Buckley but the official theater announcement offers no star billing.

Portland OR just announced today:

Dear Evan Hansen

Miss Saigon

Fiddler on the Roof

Frozen

Mean girls

Anastasia

2019-2020 Touring Season

Louisville announced today:

Dear Evan Hansen

The Band's Visit

Jesus Christ Superstar

Miss Saigon

Anastasia

Come From Away

The Lion King (as a season option)

Cincinnati hasn't announced yet, but there's usually a decent amount of overlap.  They have Dear Evan Hansen and Miss Saigon this season, so I'm guessing Anastasia along with Come From Away and/or The Band's Visit will be a part of the 2019-20 season at the Aronoff.

When I saw Hamilton last Saturday night, a box office manager told me Orlando was announcing on February 14.  I named some potential shows, but I got no reaction.
