With the 2018-19 touring season announcements winding down, it's time to look ahead to the 2019-2020 season. Already announced new shows that are going to be touring include: My Fair Lady, Frozen, Mean Girls, and Escape to Margaritaville. These will accompany current productions such as Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Miss Saigon, and many more during the season.
To help keep track of which shows are playing at which theatre at any given time, I've composed a spreadsheet that will keep track of all of this information. It can be accessed by clicking here:
2019-2020 US Tours spreadsheet
2019-2020 US Tours individual show spreadsheet
Please note that it is a work in progress, and that additional information will be added to it as it becomes available. Anyone can help by posting information on this thread, and it will then be added to the spreadsheets by myself. I'm hoping this will be a great resource, and look forward to keeping fans, including myself, informed and excited about the touring shows.
*Update (31 May): I've added in a few sheets to the original spreadsheet to provide different amounts of data.
*Update (25 Dec): you can now add comments on the sheets. To comment, go to the sheet where you want to add a comment, click on the cell where you want to put your comment, and click on the icon on the top left to activate the opportunity to comment. I only request that confirmed information be added. Thanks!

While Frozen’s tour will open officially in Los Angeles (Pantages), it will start in Schenectady (Proctor’s).

Tour will start in Oct. 2019 in Providence, RI.
ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE to launch tour in Oct. 2019
MTH85, where did you get the tour stops for Miss Saigon? The spreadsheet indicates a stop in Orlando, but the show's website doesn't mention it.

Lot666 the Miss Saigon tour stops were announced back in December 2017 on the Providence Performing Arts Center website (at least the cities). The page appears to be removed, but using the Wayback Machine, here is the link to the source as it appeared earlier this year:
"MISS SAIGON WILL LAUNCH NORTH AMERICAN TOUR AT PPAC IN FALL 2018"
By process of elimination, I was able to distinguish which cities would be adding this show to their 2019-2020 seasons. However, it's very possible that things could change between now and then. Hope that helps!

Huh! Well, you'll have to try to view it this way:
1. Go to: https://archive.org/web/
2. In the URL, paste this address: https://www.ppacri.org/news/detail/miss-saigoin-will-launch-north-american-tour-at-ppac-in-fall-2018 and then click "Browse History".
3. Click on one of the two dates that a screenshot was saved (I get March 19 and April 28, 2016).

Just a quick update regarding a few touring announcements made recently:
- The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is going back-to-back with "Hamilton," hosting it again for their 19-20 season.
- The SHN recently announced two shows for their next season: "The Band's Visit" and "Mean Girls." The former will play in the spring of 2020 and the latter in the summer of that year.
-The DeVos in Grand Rapids will host "The Lion King" for the first time.
-And "Frozen" will be playing at Cleveland's Playhouse Square in the 2020 summer, joining the Proctors and the Pantages Theatres.

when did i say that you should? i'm only letting you know that a tour isn't even official/in the works yet since you were curious about when they would announce it. you can't make an announcement for something that doesn't exist.

Would be curious about any non-equity tours going out. Wish Groundhogs Day would tour.

I believe this will answer your question:
http://www.playbill.com/article/spongebob-squarepants-will-end-broadway-run-in-september
It's entirely possible that the producers may change their minds, but I'm considering it a go until further notice. It looks like the Road Company booking agency has it listed among their offerings (http://www.theroadcompany.com/shows/spongebob.php), which means venues have the opportunity to book the show.
Now, specific dates, including a launching venue, have yet to be announced. Stay tuned for another announcement, which could be sometime around their closing day on the 16th.
Hope that helps!

Countless shows have announced plans for a tour (and even appeared on booking sites) after posting a closing notice. I don't think it's a strong indicator that the show will go on the road.

On the Tony Kornheiser Show, bookwriter Greg Garcia announced that "this time next year" an Escape to Margaritaville tour would be launching, starting in Providence and the second stop would be DC. He mentioned the stop being 1-3 weeks so that seems to indicate it will be an Equity tour.
Was in my Broadway in Boston account the other day making my payments, and noticed that after Hello Dolly in August (our last 18/19 show) and right afterwards Cats appeared. I looked at their tour and it ends in Hershey PA on August 25, which is when it said it opened in Boston. I checked again recently and it was taking down. So, 2nd year of the Cats tour and a confirmed Boston stop?
