I'm with you on that. I also think An American in Paris, Bandstand, and Beautiful will be as well based on the dates those shows currently have; HOWEVER, the current tour of Chicago IS Equity as is the current tour of Jersey Boys and both have similar short engagements to what SpongeBob is showing in Eugene.
They may just all be smaller-scaled tours (though I think AAIP will be non-equity since it's a returning tour, but I can be wrong and am willing to be).
The Kravis Center will also present Wicked in the 20/21 season. (Is it just me, or have there been an unusually high amount of teaser shows to get people to subscribe? OKC's getting Frozen, West Palm with Wicked, Fort Worth's getting The Lion King, and then there's today's announcement below. Granted, it's Hamilton, which is also going to Minneapolis, but it seems like an interesting strategy...)
If that’s the case I may have to skip it this year, which is incredibly disappointing. I’m already taking off half of that week for a quick bus trip to NYC, and really don’t want to take the entire week off from work, especially when it involves driving back and forth to Pittsburgh twice. Wish they had dropped a “save the date” hint on Twitter at the beginning of the month.
dmdwnc, any shows you're hoping to get? Boston and Pittsburgh usually have some things that lineup together. I hope The Bands Visit, CFA, Bandstand, and Torch Song make it in for Boston.
Also any word yet on Providence? Should be a big season for them considering they have yet to get Dolly, CFA, DEH, or Aladdin. Plus Margartiville is launching there

We’ve had three fairly good/great seasons in a row, so I’d be very happy with what was rumored way back in Post 65, although I’ve already seen MFL and TBV last year on Broadway. Maybe replace one of them with JCS...

I am not sure the Ahmanson can host a Non-Equity tour. If they do, they will still need to pay the LORT rates. (I think the Ahmanson is at the top LORT A tier) Assuming the tour is budgeted at a lower non-equity payment scale, it probably isn't going to play Ahmanson. (but never say never.).
Nice! Cities that have announced so far today: Grand Rapids, Toledo, and Richmond. Milwaukee will be a little later (I expect at least Hamilton, DEH, Miss Saigon, Band's Visit, and TPTGW).
I also got an invite to see a sneak peak of the Ordway's (St Paul, MN) new season on the 26th. The image they used in the email had snips of, what I'm guessing, shows that are coming, including OOTI and The Color Purple. See the banner here (hopefully this link will work)... https://ordway.cmail20.com/t/i-l-nhdulud-ykhtkrjyjd-r/
They're already producing Smokey Joe's Café. I'll know what's coming before they officially announce, but, to be fair, I'll have to wait until they make the official announcement on the 27th before I can publish anything.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I would guess that Donna Summer is stopping in Boston this season. She was from Boston and the show would do very well for non-subscription holders. I also would guess that Frozen will be here on it's first year of the tour and if it does it might be similar to the Lion King and Wicked tours with extended runs of 1 month+. I think that Sponge Bob will not be part of BAA at the Opera House, and instead be on tap for the Wang Center.
Oklahoma City announced it’s getting Frozen for the 2020/2021 Season with no dates given. Seems far off. The upcoming season will be announced Feb.19th and the email said that if you want first chance at Frozen tickets that you should get tickets for the 219/2020 season.

Oh I fully expect Summer. I hope it isn't in the subscription just because I've heard it's not great but if it is I'll still see it since I paid for it and would be fun there. I agree with Spongebob at the Wang or maybe at the Emerson Colonial since they did Cinderella this last year. My hope is we get The Bands Visit, CFA, My Fair Lady, Torch song if it's still touring, Once On This Island, and Jesus Christ Superstar. I'd love Bandstand too since I never saw it
A Bronx Tale; Aladdin; Escape to Margaritaville;Les Misérables; Mean Girls; Miss Saigon; My Fair Lady; The Play That Goes Wrong.
They officially announce on Valentine’s Day, 02/14."
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, when I saw Hamilton last week, I mentioned some possible shows to the Box Office Manager and got no reaction. If this rumor is true, I got 4 correct.

I would love for Mean Girls and Spongebob but, that is a very slim chance . Miss Saigon is confirmed, and I am sure we will get a non- equity tour or two.

I mean I feel like they can't give a reaction though and reveal anything but we'll see if the rumor is true. I'm usually down there around March or April and love seeing a show when I'm there so hoping something comes around then
