I don't know why, but the Kennedy Center is pretty much always the last major touring theater to announce. is there some complication that causes them not to know what they're booking until weeks or months after every other major venue? Or do they somehow think this helps ticket sales by building suspense, or whatever? I always find it incredibly frustrating as an avid local patron on a budget, because I can't buy season tickets for DC or Baltimore until I see what Kennedy Center is getting, which often means I lose the early bird discounts or the ability to retain my seats from a previous season.

When is the My Fair Lady tour making the switch to non-union?
I was so hoping that Frozen was going to be part of the Kennedy Center's season.
I am happy to see Wicked will be there over the holidays though.

For those in Toronto, Mirvish just sent an e-mail to their subscribers that says they will be announcing their subscription season next Wednesday.
Could be something or could be nothing, but they said the payment options are paying in full or in 3 instalments which is down from the usual 6 instalments they offer.

I’m excited for these tours, but I can’t stop checking theater news sites for casting announcements.

Any guesses as to what might be in the Toronto season? I’m guessing probably My Fair Lady and Les Mis, since we were supposed to get those pre-pandemic, and possibly Beetlejuice, Jagged Little Pill, Six, and/or Moulin Rouge!

Mean Girls is probably on the list, they haven't done a Canada run yet..and they're already announced in Ottawa 10/18/22-10/23/22...and their schedule is TBA after that until Denver on 12/20/22

I agree. Mean Girls seems like a good bet. Mirvish's subscription shows usually run for 5 or 6 weeks so that seems like a logical fit. I don't see a fit on the current tour schedules for Six, Moulin Rouge, or Beetlejuice. There is a fit for Jagged Little Pill in April 2023, and Mirvish is a producer (Washington stop ends 3/26, Schenectady run starts 5/02).
Mirvish does seem to love West End shows so maybe something from there and something out from left field? Leopoldstadt wouldn't surprise me since that run got cancelled.

Could the Boleyn tour of Six come to Toronto from May 23-June 11, or would that more likely just be a break for the production? Those are the only dates they aren't scheduled. And could Beetlejuice be August 29-September 17?
And what about Hadestown? Could that come later in the year, maybe in August 2023?

SIX is running 2 tours starting in Sept don't forget
