Just saw Hannah Waddingham will return as host! Exciting! Since the eligibility cutoff is around the corner, what are we thinking some of the nominations will be? Really sad though that the Bridge Theatre’s Guys & Dolls won’t be eligible as that show deserves EVERYTHING! This was definitely a great season in the West End!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

CRAP! I forgot about that one! I haven't seen it yet, but hopefully, I will watch the pro-shot.

I would like to see Infinite Life get nominated which it won’t. Also The Witches for Best musical. In Clay is that in the west end? Aspects of Love should be nominated for musical revival, it was stunning.

I thought it was totally panned? I remember reading that it was dying at the box office. Don't know if it is still open.
I think people take issue with the material, but the production was exquisite. Pretty large orchestra, very lush sounding. And yes it closed earlier than anticipated. I had never seen a production of it and didn’t know much about it other than the fact that it’s an ALW show. I thought it was shocking and camp and bizzare and stunning and raw. A more incestuous version of A Little Night Music.
Just heard that the Bridge Theatre’s production of Guys & Dolls WILL be eligible for Oliviers! This just made the revival of a musical category MORE competitive!

Just hoping that Cedric and Marisha at least get nominated! Those two deserve it!

Yes, him too of course. I saw his understudy when I went but he sounds beautiful on the cast album. When he sang "Luck Be A Lady," I almost thought I was hearing Frank Sinatra!

I know he won’t get a nomination (this year is too strong in that category) but I’ve seen it 9x and once when he was out, I almost cried. Like, I didn’t even want to be there anymore lol
Im here now, and just DISTRAUGHT that I won’t be able to see his new play.

He's got a good career ahead of him. I'm sure you'll get to see him again!

Pretty lame year for Best Musical. Maybe they'll toss in "The Time Traveler's Wife" - my flight got delayed or else I'd have seen one of its last shows. I know it got panned but I like a cheesy romcom kind of musical.
There were some pretty great musicals that will most probably be nominated, including “The Little Big Things”, “Operation Mincemeat” & “Next to Normal”.
The witches was the only one that looked good. I hope it comes here. That production of guys and dolls was awful. If they have any taste, Aspects of Love will get in as well as Laura Pitt Pulford for leading lady.
does anyone know if Hadestown is eligible? They got blanked at the National five years ago...I'm not sure what the rules are for re-opening on the west end.

Um... I don't know what planet you are on but it sure as hell isn't this one!
Guys & Dolls was probably one of the best shows in London last year. Aspects is not getting any nods. It was a complete flop!

Yes, it is. The run at the National back in 2018 was a developmental production.

Rooting for Operation Mincemeat for Best Musical! Probably the funniest show I have ever seen on stage!

Operation mincemeat, Big Little Things, Next to Normal, Hadestown, The Witches. I guess just for one day could also get in. The critics were lukewarm on hadestown like me
