That's rather surprising. Its box office hasn't be extraordinary but certainly enough to sustain the show, I would think. Apparently not.

It rarely went over 60% and mostly hung around the 48/50% mark.

REASONS actually has a chance at winning the Tony for Best Play so it'll stick around 'til then.

I hope it wins too. Of all the new Broadway plays this year (although I didn't catch DIVIDING THE ESTATE) REASONS was by far the best. But something tells me the far less superior GOD OF CARNAGE will take it.

Did some of you read the article? It's closing early because of Jane Fonda's scheudle conflict that weekend. Though it has not done terrily well at the box office, closing 3 days early (and adding a performance earlier in the week) is hardly the same as Impressionism closing 2 months early.

Jane Fonda talked about it in her blog yesterday. She's going to the Galapagos for a charity fundraiser. The producers let her and added a Monday show to help make up for the lost weekend.

Read her blog this morning and she said she was leaving on May 22nd for the Galapagos. I have tickets for the final show on Sunday the 24th. I wrote on her comments about the tickets and if she was going to be out the final weekend. Then late this afternoon the announcement was made. Kinda crappy the producers knew for awhile and didn't announce it until Jane mentioned it in her blog.

I arrive from London on May 20th and thought I was going to miss out but the nice man at Telecharge swapped my 21st May "Hair" tickets and my 23rd May "33 Variations" tickets so I still get to see Jane Fonda. Thank you, nice man at Telecharge!
