Anyone know where I could find a synopsis of it and where it's licensed through? I googled and only came up w/ the CD info. Thanks!
Cheers,
Christopher
Sorry I don't know where you can get info, but what I know is that it's 3 short musicals presented in 3 acts, each one written by a different composer. Each musical has it's own plotline, which you can more or less understand by listening to the music.
Yeah I've got it hangin' around somewhere but I write a column for a newsletter and have been doing lesser-known musicals and needed something more in-depth. Thanks for the composer piece of info. though that I didn't know.
Cheers,
Christopher
For licencing info, you could try e-mailing RSAMD who presented the European premiere a couple of years ago (link below).
However, I believe that this was to be the last production as the final act - The Lawnchair Man - is being expanded into a full length show and is no longer available as part of 3hree.

The thing I remember best about the show was the transitions between the acts. There was no "intermission" the house lights went up slightly and we could see the actors removing costumes, make-up and preparing for the next character.
I think I like the transitions more than the show itself.
The first musical, The Mice (by Larry O'Keefe, Nell Benjamin, and Julia Jordan), is also available as a separate piece. I haven't seen it (only heard), but it was done a couple of years ago at NYU, as a student production.
I don't know how the book is for that one, but the score is awesome. And the story is nice and twisted. Yay.

yeah, i don't think it's possible to do "3hree" itself, because each of the three pieces have taken on a life of their own now, particularly "Flight of the Lawnchair Man" (my favorite of the bunch.
So "Mice" is still out there, eh? Anybody knoww what happened to "Lavender Girl?"
Mice! is awesome, Lavender Girl was quite haunting and The Flight... was great.
All in all, a GREAT cd
Mice! is pretty funny. I can never get through the entire score of Lavender Girl, but then again, I can never get "We've Got Time" out of my head. Those harmonies.... AHHH.
Lawnchair Man is my personal favorite. Donna Lynne Champlin is so hilarious in the first song... "This is America!" "And also New Joisey."

on that note, you want to get a hold of Donna Soto-Morettini, she's head of the Musical Theatre Course. It was done three Years ago at the Edinburgh Fringe, and direted by Iain Davie.
