61st Primetime Emmy Awards Megathread

I know this belongs in the Off Topic Board, but now think more people will find. So post all thoughts, predictions, commentary, drinking games, and more here. GOod Luck to all nominated. Go 30 Rock and The Office.

And also good luck to stars of the stage too such as NPH, Jane Krakowski, Kristen Chenoweth, Janet McTeer, and many more. I am positive Neil Patrick Harris will be the best host of the Emmy Awards in a long time.

Just got word Jane Krakowski is taking the first award of the evening for Best Supporting Actress - Comedy and that 30 ROCK and MAD MAN will take top prizes.

Jane Krakowski? I don't think so. I heard it's between Kristin Chenoweth and Amy Poehler for Supporting Actress- Comedy from a lot of different sources.
kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.

kcheno the envelope says that. I think it is a race between Cheno and Krakowski though Poehler is very deserving and so Is Wiig. That is the most confusing category in my opinion.

Go "Little Dorrit"! And Hugh Laurie! And Tony Shalhoub! (I don't care how many he already has, I still want him to win another one! re: 61st Primetime Emmy Awards Megathread )

re: 61st Primetime Emmy Awards Megathread

I'm describing the WINNER, not the RACE, kcheno. This is the information I have been given - and I'd believe it if I believe anything!

I, too, thought it was Williams' (or suprise upset from Wiig) to lose, but I'm going with my source on this one.

Either way, ALL the ladies in that category are deserving (THAT is describing the race, not the winner - see the difference?).

You children act as if this is a piece of dramatic art. It's an AWARDS show, kiddies. Next you're gonna tell me it's not fixed!

P.S. Speaking of other threads, I particularly enjoy chastising one for posting inside information and then attempting to procure further information on the self same subject with abated breath! Hugs and Kisses!

The same "leaked" info happened for the VMAS last Sunday and most of the "spoilers" were wrong.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&. "Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."

**Spoiler**

Congrats to Kristin!!! Her acceptance speech was heartfelt and funny. Also, I just want to add some more love to NPH. That opening was simple but great.

What was the opening like? I missed it.

Oy! Kristin and those crocodile tears -- not one was ever created in her eye duct. Phoney white bitch!

I'm watching the Emmy Awards on a 60 inch widescreen Sony HD-TV and you could clearly see that she wasn't tearing-up at all. All face contortions to emote that fake 'humble' speech.

Again... phoney white bitch!

Congratulations, Kristin!!! re: 61st Primetime Emmy Awards Megathread

So much for your "spoiler," pgenre. I'd get a new "source" if I were you.

And BrodyFosse123, YOU are a miserable person. Your post should be deleted.

BrodyFosse: Stop being a miserable ass and let the woman have her moment. Thanks for bragging about your big TV, though.

Pgenre: Oh, heck I won't say anything because you already know.

We're having a nice party on the off-topic board.
Nobody is calling anybody names...

Brodyfosse can stay here and the rest of you can join us, if you'd like. re: 61st Primetime Emmy Awards Megathread

Jacob, to answer your question: NPH did a song-and-dance number about 'putting down the remote' and including the names of various nominees. Very clever and very well performed. He gave Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman a nice shout-out!

(I'm sure you'll be able to find it on Youtube!)
