Just a reminder to everyone that one of the best one man shows of all time is airing tonight at 9pm.
I saw this years ago in LA and it was fantastic. Does anyone know if is the same as the previous incarnation, or if there is something new added?

I no longer have HBO so am unable to watch the show on TV or HBOGo. Does anyone know if there is any other place I may be able to watch the show? Thanks.
I just checked a torrent site and nothing is coming up. I have it on my DVR, excited to watch it!
YouWantitWhen: I think most of the routines/characters he does are the same as the previous incarnations, but as far as anything else, he's constantly adding new tidbits. I saw it when it came back to Broadway just recently and there were quite a few jokes that referred to current events/pop culture.

I watched this today, as I didn't have a chance last night. Seeing it again reminded me why it was one of the mist enjoyable theater experiences I've ever had: Billy Crystal tells things very well...joke, story, or interview. He's a master.
I loved what Billie Holiday whispered in his ear as he was sitting on her lap watching the movie SHANE. Priceless!
I DVRd it this morning. Excited to watch it. Does it hold up well on TV? The review in Entertainment Weekly wasn't too kind.

I had tickets to see it live and then something came up and I couldn't go. I had not realized that they recorded it..so I was grateful to see it on HBO.
It brought up a lot of memories for me..as he talks a lot about the Commordore Music Store where his father used to work near the Chrysler Building in NYC..and I live two blocks from the Chrysler building..so I can really "see" in my mind where he spent so much time.
It made me a little nostalgic to hear that the music store could no longer compete with the chain music stores like Sam Goody that came in and took over...because I do remember our neighborhood Sam Goody that was a mainstay here for so many years and then that closed too.. The times they are a changing..
Anyway..its a really heart felt show and he really captured that audience for almost two hours. Fabulous.. I didn't read the EW review..good thing I wasn't dissuaded from watching.
DVRed it, excited to watch this. I loved it back in December!!
I saw it thanks to HBO On Demand. I saw it on Broadway and loved every moment of it then and loved every moment of it when I saw it last night on TV. However, I was wondering something. In addition to the show, there are shots of him in a house. Now, does anyone know if those shots were done in his actual Long Beach house that he grew up in, or was it just a studio soundstage made to look like his childhood home?

The inside of the house is an actual replica. If you go onto HBO.com you can see some behind the scenes footage.
EW gave it a B- and said it wasn't as intimate as seeing it live. It's not like they panned it.
