Wow. It won the Drama League for Best Musical and 12 Drama Desk nnods, yet it's closing.
Gee... this feels oddly "Grey Gardens" to me...
Same theater, similarly "darker" or more dramatic toned Musical closing during the summer months of its first year
I'm hoping to see this with my mother ASAP as she is pretty much the model of what Leslie plays (a Bronx girl getting married in the 50's).
It's closing the exact same weekend GARDENS closed last year.
except, let's not get this wrong: Grey Gardens was AMAZING. this show is "good" but not great like Grey Gardens
Wow. This is really a surprise. It's a shame the show couldn't hold on any longer. I do agree that it deserved Cry-Baby's Tony nominations for Best Musical and Score.

Right, let's not compare it to Grey Gardens, which was so much better.
As much as I didn't enjoy the show, it's sad that so many shows are closing, but that's just the business.
I'm so glad I'll get to see it before it closes...good luck to the cast/crew!

Most depressing news EVER.
I'm really upset.
I was between this, Boeing Boeing, and The 39 Steps for the last spot in my summer trip, and now I might have to see this.
Very sad news, I wish the best to the cast and crew.
Also, Grey Gardens opened in the fall. This run is much more short-lived.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
At least there was a cast recording and a Lincoln Center recording.
I wanted to see this SOOOOOO bad, but I'm in NC and there's no way in hell I can make it up to see it by then . . .
Harvey, come back to Broadway again! Maybe write another straight play? (hehe)
Now I want to produce this and play Uncle Winston. Except I'm not old enough. Damn.
Damn. Damn. Damn. Damn.
GREAT PERFORMANCES! PLEASE GOD!
That's so weird. I just arrived in NYC today, was told I was seeing ACA and was like "Yea!", went online to research and the first thing I see is "ACA to close." ugh.... what's happening to the world? I still have Gypsy tomorrow though!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!
Oh Daddy! Now that Matt is unemployed lets hope he does Broadway Bares.
Congratulations to all involved in this beautiful musical - everyone should be very proud!
I was truly hoping the show might last until the fall when I would have a chance to see it.
Shame. I thought they'd hold off until September. Hopefully I can get tickets off TDF before it closes.
So sad.
I am not surprised by this news at all...at least it gives theatergoers a month to see the show. I will probably be there on 7/27.
This is very disappointing news. I feel very fortunate that I was able to see it.
Far and away the best new musical of the season.
well this news kicks up the show to the top of my "to-see" list, probably will catch it this weekend.

This is very sad news. I didn't really expect this. Man, I wish I could have watched it.
This is sad. I wanted so badly to love this show, and for it to do well.
I don't understand it. They seemed to be doing respectable business and they'd just announced the Thursday Matinee plan. Why didn't they give it a chance? Is their advance sale that bad? What happened?
