i saw the show yesterday and a lot of ppl were standing- i would actually do Standing room because it's cheap and you have an AMAZING view! but im not old enough to go into the city by myself yet because im only 15 and my parents are too lazy to stand so we always get mezz or orch.
the lotto for ACL is crazy; slim chance of winning but if you lose go right down the street to AVENUE Q!
re: A Chorus Line Rush#6
Posted: 1/6/07 at 2:24pmAvenue Q and Chorus Line have the same lotto times so you can't play both. Last night I walked past the A Chorus Line lotto and there was only 30-40 people there three minutes before the picked the names on a Friday night. So it can't be that bad anymore.

Posted: 1/7/07 at 1:19amTrust me, it is still pretty bad. I played 4 times this week and lost them all. It is still less than Q, but very tricky to win!

re: A Chorus Line Rush#10
Posted: 1/26/07 at 10:38amI believe there are 20 tix & they are orchestra on the side partial view & i *think* some box seats which are also considered partial view. but im not 100% sure about the box seats.
re: A Chorus Line Rush#11
Posted: 1/26/07 at 10:38amThe lotto seats are partial view orchestra. 20 tickets for every performance.
re: A Chorus Line Rush#12
Posted: 1/26/07 at 10:46pmI wonder how the standing room situation has been with this cold snap going on.

Posted: 1/26/07 at 11:54pmDoes it pay to do standing room? Will the dancing still be as if I'm effective standing in the back of the theater?

re: A Chorus Line Rush#15
Posted: 8/14/07 at 7:13pmI went two hours before curtain and got student rush side orchestra seats for $35.

this past sunday i was rushing legally blonde but i needed a chorus line tickets as well. so i would have my friend save my spot and i would walk by every other hour to see what the line situation was like for ACL.
at 9.30 there was no one in line.
at 11.00 there were three people.
at 12.15, right after i got my legally blonde rush tickets, i walked over to the schoenfeld theatre and was able to get rush tickets for the matinee of a chorus line. easy.
re: A Chorus Line Rush#17
Posted: 8/15/07 at 12:03amFriday at about 3:30, my friends and I got three rush tickets for that night's performance. They are partial view though. I could not see Jason Patrick Sands at all from where I was sitting.

Posted: 12/9/07 at 9:06amCan someone give me an update of a time I should get there to get tickets?
re: A Chorus Line Rush#19
Posted: 12/9/07 at 12:03pmShowed up a little after eight yesterday no one showed up until 5 minutes till 10.
re: A Chorus Line Rush#20
Posted: 12/9/07 at 12:04pmI've gone wayyyyy after the box office opens and gotten tickets both times.
re: A Chorus Line Rush#21
Posted: 1/11/08 at 2:13pmThe question is, are the tickets worth waiting for or should I just buy them online. I've never seen the show before and I wouldn't mind standing room, but that is saying the show will be 100% sold out. So what should I do? Just get playbill.com discounted tickets?

When I was there in September they had a Student Rush?
Did they get rid of it?

Nope. The rush policy started sometime in early August 2007.
It's 36.50 and they almost always have tickets no matter when you go.
I went at 7:55 for an 8:00 Saturday night show and got second row mezz seats. Center, right aisle too.

SRO for A Chorus Line is not bad -- fine sight lines. I can't remember how high the back wall of the orchestra section is at the Schoenfeld, but I don't think it's as bad as other theaters (Lunt-Fontanne, New Amsterdam). Just be aware that the show doesn't have an intermission, and it's 2 hrs. long, so standing is a bit more taxing than average.
If you can flash your Student ID, that's the way to go -- although it is a bit pricier than most student tickets -- the box office gives you the best of what's available. I sat Row H Center Orchestra last time with student tix.
