I don't. Why should they get all the good seats?
the first day tickets go on sale (for amex, visa, or whatever) i am buying a ticket to the first preview. this is very very exciting.
You don't need to worry about tickets, guys - I'm thrilled as anyone, but this isn't going to be another SPAMALOT or WICKED. Honestly, I'd wait for the discount codes.
Good space for the show = now if they could just rename the theatre...
Yes....... and rename it the "Bennett"
I'm looking forward to this! Previews during the same weekend as the BC/EFA Flea Market----double heaven!!!

That well maybe... but I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Saw it way back when the Earth was cooling and dirt was new. As soon as tickets are on sale, I am so there on line or where ever!!
As far as the AMEX gold card goes it is just a perk.
Now which theater was the Schoenfeld Theatre formally known as? The Plymouth?
yes.......that's right. It was the Plymouth.

I may be a first preview person too. I saw it over a half dozen times during the original run, including one of the very last performances in 1990. I'll be so happy to see it back.

Hm, so I guess people were wrong when they said it couldn't turn a profit at the Schoenfeld. Looks like they can.
It's a good space to do it in. It's large enough for a musical, but small enough for at least SOME intimacy.
The Amex Card presale is nice for those who have the card---for us peons who don't make a ton of $$$ it thwarts us in our efforts to get good seats (or evens seats, sometimes) to some shows!
But that's life! I still manage!
I love this news! I can't wait...

Well, it is yet to be determined whether the show will turn a profit in that theatre. It's going to be a challenge and don't be surprised that 18 months into the run, it's still in the red. A slightly larger theatre would have made turning a profit a much easier proposition.
I personaly was hoping for the Belasco, but just so happy it will be back!
Can't wait. It is the 1st show on my list for my fall trip to NYC.

Ode To Joy, i'm thrilled silly to see this come around again: - )
There's no pit at the Schonefeld correct?
How are they going to make that work?
I hope there is no downsizing of the orchestra or orchestrations.

Just to reiterate Margo earlier in the thread. Nobody ever said the show COULDN'T turn a profit at the Schoenfeld. But it's going to have a teeny tiny little margin.

Yeah, it's going to HAVE to be a hit doing 90+% business most weeks if it wants to recoup in under two years. If it dips regularly in the low 70s it'll never turn a profit (especially capitalized at $8 million -- most shows that go into that theatre cost roughly half that or less; most shows that big that have gone into that theatre over the years have flopped).

I just hope and pray (with ALL of my heart) that it's received well enough to run into the following Spring. It would mean so much to me to see this on Broadway one more time.
I just hope they don't change the orchestrations. I want them to sound just as they do on the CD.
