"Who doesn't love red?"
Ohhh, I like that! And it still somehow manages to look like a 'Sweeney Todd'/'Les Miserables' crossover. XD
Speaking of Les Miserables- I have the Concept CD and oh my god! It sounded like a water down version of Les! This will be an interesting show to see the early post/ reviews here at BWW!

It's very....red. I'm not really feeling the horses either.

So which critic is gonna be the brainiac to write "it was the worst of times, it was the worst of times"?
I think my favourite bit is the way it goes "... the new musical", like it would really be happier pretending it had no music whatsoever. And I'm a big fan of red. RED. *_*
I hate the dot, dot, dot too. I think they'd fair better without acknowledging that it's a musical.
Yankee- I will be very interested on what you think of the show! btw-WaT & I bought early tickets for the show (like 1st weekend previews) in case the show pulls ala GLORY DAYS!
Oh... I can see this show will be BWW's new "favorite" show! (judging from the sample songs..I cant even finish the whole 23 tracks CD~that's how painful it is! Again.. this will be very interesting to READ everyone's early reviews!

That sign IS pretty funny. It sounds very enthusiastic.
....did someone mention 'Sweeney Todd'?
...or was it 'A Tale Of Two Cities'?
Of all - the samples/demos that ive heard for this season (13, A Tale of two Cities & Shrek) IMO-Shrek has the most promising score! except for that generic belt-out song "I Could Get Used To This" by Chester Gregory (Donkey)~I dont like that song!
I cant wait to see Goodspeed's Pre-Broadway try-out of "The Story of My Life" this October! A very interesting year for New Musical

This is gonna pale in comparison to The Scarlet Pimpernel.
That was a very red artwork too!
(A Tale...)
and they have this one song called "No Honest Way" - I think that's the photo that looks like Sweeney... oh my! it sounded like a reject song from Les Miserables which was replaced by Master of the House! Sorry to say.. I am not a big fan of this Pop Opera Musical (ala Les Miserables, Martin Guerre & Scarlet Pimpernell)
yeah.. kinda looks like Scarlett Pimpernell ...lol!

This show shall bring up bad memories of high school summer reading.
Why all the hate? I really like the demo though I am expecting the show to get torn to shreds. I actually hope they record it during previews as I bet no label will want to touch it after the reviews come out.
Nicholas Nickleby!
I guess all of the Dickens shows or any from that period are gonna look all the same!
No. I dont hate the show.. I just dont like the demo/23 tracks songs. I am not into that kind of music (90's pop opera musical style) I am sure that the finish product will be very different from the 23 tracks from the demo. I wish all the best for the show!

I enjoyed 'Nicholas Nickleby'. I think it's criminal David Dawson didn't get more love for his brilliant Smike.
I reckon 'Tale Of Two Cities', if it has any brain, will do well to try and corner the market that didn't realise 'Les Mis' closed (and reopened and closed again). I mean, this one is ACTUALLY about the French Revolution! Totally my favourite historical period. Well, okay, I find the Napoleonic Wars a heckuva lot more interesting than the Revolution, but it's still around the same time.
They should make 'Temeraire' into a musical. Naval battles, and dragons! There's no WAY it could be done without being awful! I'd love it! XD

I think you made a good point, there! specially if you hear the 23 tracks score- they keep mentioning the word "Bastille" in the lyrics and I think that's gonna be a problem since most regular theater goer might IDENTIFY this whole concept and look to Les Miserables or worst compare it! (unfortunately)
