#79re: ADAM PASCAL IN L.A. AS I TYPE FOR RENT MOVIE
Posted: 10/19/04 at 10:33pmI got my tickets a few days ago...Needless to say I can't wait til Nov. 13 now. I thought it was cute he said once in an interview that he acts like an idiot when he meets Billy Joel. Adam makes me act like an idiot too. The first time I met him I just hugged him. I couldn't help myself it was just a reaction. He hugged back tho!

Oh, I just acted like an idiot because I was so happy to have the tickets.
I saw Adam like a week ago, and I can't wait for 11.13.
And a hug? You're braver than I, that's for sure!

#82re: ADAM PASCAL IN L.A. AS I TYPE FOR RENT MOVIE
Posted: 10/19/04 at 10:38pmIt was just a weird reaction that I couldn't help (Not so much bravery) I had bad luck seeing him up until then. The first time I saw Aida his understudy was in, then I tried seeing him in Cabaret and he had an understudy again. So when I finally saw him I was overwhelmed.

How did I miss this thread? Dammit, this is what happens when I get a life for a day??
Well, it's Thursday now. What did Adam and Cybele say? I'm sort of confused. So you see them all the time? In LA or in NYC? I don't get it.
As for questioning your reliability, bwaybuff, don't take it personally!! I'm sure we appreciate you posting this information, but we don't know you, you don't know us, so we have no way of knowing if you're telling the truth, is all.

Posted: 10/21/04 at 5:12pmWell, there's the thought of a grown person with his/her own business, with kids who play with the Pascal's kids, writing posts that contain "u" for "you" and "2" for two. It's all alittle suspect and I personally don't care who's in the film version of RENT. For my $$ it should have been the "3 people I heard Spike Lee wuz thkning bout csting" in his film version, so it's all rather moot now. At least for me , it is.

Cybele spoke to you in txt tlk? W0w!1
musetta
what does txt tlk? mean???
and as for u al dente
their kids do not play with mine becasue i dont have any kids, if u read my post that's not what i wrote. and as for my abbreviating words instead of typing them out, if u don't like it don't read it. that's how i type, if i was typing some thing to anyone with the slightest of importance i would type it the correct way, but to waste my time on a bunch of people who would rather criticize everything, as apposed to enjoying the information in my post, the I cant be bothered.

Posted: 10/21/04 at 7:48pmSo b'waybuff, you have been wasting your precious time starting this thread and letting it get as long as 4 cyber pages on a bunch of losers like us, who aren't even worthy of 2 extra letters that make up the word YOU as opposed to "u"? If you were typing to "people that mattered"? We must matter a great deal cause u r still typing friend.

It's back...
and please. That sort of typing is really difficult to read. It doesn't take too much more effort to just type out the words.

"if i was typing some thing to anyone with the slightest of importance i would type it the correct way"
Well, there's also this thing called credibility, and I'm sure you want people to believe everything you've said in this thread.

In all seriousness...I would die to see the original cast back together for this movie. I was a little skeptical about it when I first heard (especially because rumor had it that Justin Timberlake was possibly starring), but if they all came back, I would be the most excited person on the planet.
I never got to see the OBC, but I did see Adam and Daphne at their concert a few weeks ago and nearly had a meltdown when they sang together. I can only imagine seeing them all on screen together again.

Posted: 10/22/04 at 9:42pmThat would be so amazing to see Rent with all the orginal cast members... thanks for the info. I wanted to see Rent, but because I listen to the original cast so much, I was uncertain of whether or not to see it with other people. (That and I dont' live near NYC)

Earlier this afternoon, I read the Angel and Mark sides from Columbus's screenplay. For those of you who don't know, sides are a few pages from a screenplay assigned to people auditioning for a particular character. My suspicion that Columbus would follow Chbosky's route of adapting some of the songs into dialogue proved true, although I was shocked (and dismayed) to find that while he's eliminating the music, he's still keeping the rhymes as of September 24, 2004. That is all I will say for now.
But just another FYI: As written by Columbus, this material isn't even appropriate for the OBC. The characters are clearly delineated as being in their early 20s, and because some of the songs you so admired the OBC singing are turned into dialogue, why would you want them to reprise their now-dramatic roles?
